What customers say
This is a well-maintained, quiet campsite with friendly owners and clean facilities, including picnic tables. While some guests found the showers and washing-up areas basic and small, others praised the good price and location. The on-site cafe is a popular addition, serving good food. Issues noted include road noise and occasional advertised facilities being closed or not as described.

This could be a nice small site if a bit more care was taken.
Jacob's Folly cabin
Liked Nice quiet site. The TV worked !
Disliked Wish I had read the last review before booking. There was no fridge despite one advertised on website which is a problem in hot humid weather as it was this weekend. Luckily we were only staying one night if we had booked for two the food in our toolbox would have been ruined
Despite temps being in the mid 20s there was a very thick winter duvet on the bed. There were no plates, knives, forks or spoons. Not even a bin liner in the bin. Curtains didn't fit the windows and the blind was flimsy so no light was kept out.
No washing up facilities.
Showers and toilets very basic and could only get hot water out of the tap not good for cleaning teeth.
Cafe and deli advestised on website was non existent. Suggest they update their listing to reflect what is actually there. Which is not much .

Lovely friendly small site , with basic but adequate facilities.
Electric grass pitch
Liked Lovely family run small campsite , very conveniently placed for exploring Herefordshire and Shropshire.
Patisserie and cafe on site. Very relaxed owners who are friendly, and very helpful. Sheep on site and some nearby woodland where you can hear owls at night and see kites and buzzards. Great spot for stargazing as no light pollution.
Disliked Showers and toilets are very basic and small but the owners have said they are being updated and the site is designed for only a small amount of campers.
Although small the toilets and shower are sufficient and there was never any queues even on a hot bank holiday weekend.
There is noise from the road nearby and some farm vehicles from other farms in the area but the road is quiet at night.

Met by a friendly 'manager' and made to feel welcome.
Jacob's Folly cabin
Liked Small, reasonably quiet site - tractor noise understandable, given the time of year! The 'bungalow' cabin was comfortable with a lot of attention to detail. The site felt safe with cctv cameras in operation. It was really good to appreciate the birdsong and relax in the wonderful countryside of Aymestrey.
Disliked The toilet and shower facilities were clean, if basic. Could do with some improvement to make the area more inviting and less functional perhaps... but, the price would be passed on to the consumer. It was fine for the brief time we were there.
