What customers say
This is a well-maintained, quiet campsite with friendly owners and clean facilities, including picnic tables. While some guests found the showers and washing-up areas basic and small, others praised the good price and location. The on-site cafe is a popular addition, serving good food. Issues noted include road noise and occasional advertised facilities being closed or not as described.

Good location, great for RVs and Tents, I wouldn't recommend the cabin
Jacob's Folly cabin
Liked Both the cabin and the area were nice.
Disliked No fridge in the cabin, as claimed - in 35 degree heat it was a critical component to my plan for the holiday, for drinks and salads etc.
No internet provided, although claims there is, you can join a network, only near the toilets and cafe, yet no internet provided even when you join it.
The cafe was closed (Friday evening > Monday morning) unsure if only due to weekend or what, there were no signs.
No signs for checkin area, no signs for cafe hours, pretty much no information at all really.

Would go back, nice for price. Patisserie shouldn't yet be advertised
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Nice Peaceful space, wildlife, flat ground, great for the price
Disliked Bathroom facilities small so toilets/shower can get crowded. Patisserie/cafe not open yet, refurbishment.

Very clean room, with good facilities for the money.
Jacob's Folly cabin
Liked Amazing spot, great value for money. I’ve stayed in much worse hotels.

Met by a friendly 'manager' and made to feel welcome.
Jacob's Folly cabin
Liked Small, reasonably quiet site - tractor noise understandable, given the time of year! The 'bungalow' cabin was comfortable with a lot of attention to detail. The site felt safe with cctv cameras in operation. It was really good to appreciate the birdsong and relax in the wonderful countryside of Aymestrey.
Disliked The toilet and shower facilities were clean, if basic. Could do with some improvement to make the area more inviting and less functional perhaps... but, the price would be passed on to the consumer. It was fine for the brief time we were there.

A fabulous stay that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Everything - the site was quiet, clean, friendly and had all the facilities we needed.
Disliked Not really a dislike but the patisserie was yet to open.

Beautifully kept, with basic facilities.
Electric hardstanding and grass pitch
Liked Beautifully kept grass pitches, picnic tables available. Small site, easily accessible from the main road. Watching the Red Kites over the campsite. Friendly owners but you are left to fend for yourselves mostly. Lots of places to visit locally. Nice pubs in Leintwardine.
Disliked Facilities were dated, no dish-washing facilities. The toilets and shower were small but adequate and squeegee and toilet brushes would have been useful. Would have been nice to have the cafe open, we had been looking forward to the advertised patisserie. I understand it is re-opening at the end of August 2025.
Traffic noise is constant.

Lovely peaceful site.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked It was a lovely, peaceful site.
It did have all the basic facilities needed, toilets, shower, washing up sink.
Access to drinking water
There were picnic tables which were scattered about, as quiet I had one all to myself
Good price£15 per night even in school hols.
There is a cafe which was closed, owner said it had undergone a refurb and would open again in a couple of weeks.
Disliked Initially the shower didn’t appear to work, no power. After hunting around the room I eventually found the cord.
The shower cubicle is rather small, I am a petite female and it was a squeeze, I should imagine it would be a bit of a struggle for a larger framed person.
Washing up area was a tiny, comprised of a small sink, there was no draining board. Just a narrow shelf at the side.
