What customers say
This peaceful campsite boasts a beautiful lake and picturesque surroundings. Visitors consistently praise the friendly and welcoming owners, the stunning views, and the excellent value for money. A small on-site cafe offers popular breakfasts and refreshments. Facilities are described as basic but generally clean, with some guests noting they could benefit from refurbishment. While most reviews highlight tranquility, a few mention a nearby road as a minor disturbance, though others found it unobtrusive. Plans for electric hook-up are mentioned for the following year.

This is beautiful site but hygiene is disgraceful
Non-electric grass and earth pitch
Liked The surrounds are beautiful
Disliked The toilets were a disgrace, dirty, full of spiderwebs and even a used tampon case as there was no bin.
The breakfast was generally good with fresh ingredients but the cleanliness was disgusting and thete was a closer cafe I would have chosen to eat elsewhere.
It was unsafe and cluttered with owners rubbish which if I had children could have been a serious issue.

Beautiful location, lovely people - but Oh that loo!
Non-electric grass and earth pitch
Liked A very friendly welcome to a very attractive site. It was very quiet the day I was there so I was able to find a level spot overlooking the lake. It was one of the most attractive locations at which I have camped. It was also very quiet - apart from an owl that hooted. It is well away from any main roads.
Disliked There is a cafe attached to the camp site but it was not open at a time suitable for me. Fortunately I was prepared for this and had all the food I needed.
What did let the place down was the loo. The single loo/washroom consisted of an outbuilding housing one loo, a wash basin and a urinal. This was perfectly suitable for a fisherman wanting a quick pee during the day but it was not suitable for a camp site of this size.
