What customers say
This is a well-maintained, friendly campsite offering peaceful riverside pitches, many with privacy hedges and picnic tables. Facilities, particularly the shower and toilet blocks, are consistently praised as excellent, clean, and spacious. The adjacent George Inn pub is a significant bonus, serving good food and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Easy access from the M5 makes it ideal for stopovers and exploring the local area. The site is also well-equipped for families with a play area.

An ideal stop over with friendly staff and level pitches
Electric grass pitch
Liked I met up with family and it was an ideal site for our two campervans with enough room to use both awnings for a camp in the middle of them. Private and a fairly quiet site during the day - very quiet at night.
Also had a nice meal in The George pub.
Georgia was lovely - really helpful and was still at the end of the phone even on her day off! Thank you so much

Electric grass pitch
Liked Marked pitches, feeling of privacy with space around at the same time, good conveniences, little walks for the dog, proximity to pub, and park. Ease of use of barrier - safety that offers in security.

See comments above. The pitches are small and there is no privacy.
Electric grass pitch
Liked We had booked 3 nights but did not stay because the pitches were way too close together, the reviews suggested otherwise, they were very misleading. I would highly recommend you review all reviews for the past 7 years as that will make it clear that that in peak times you will have no privacy.

I would highly recommend you review all reviews for the past 7 years as that will make it clear that that in peak times you will have no privacy. If you have a dog, just consider you may have a breed staying in the pitch next to that your dog may not be agreeable to your dog. Overall highly dissapointed to pre pay for 3 nights in advance for an inadequate pitch and absolutely no empathy from the site in the form of moving our pitch or reimbursing some of the pre payment. So dissapointing.

Nice stop off
Electric grass pitch
Liked Good location for some nice walks and stop off on the way to and from the coast. Clean site and friendly staff. We had a grass touring pitch but found with two campervans with awnings it was a bit cramped. Next time we would go for a large hard standing pitch. The pub was very clean and nice for a cheeky beer. We had an evening meal which was ok but no coffee at breakfast as the machine was broken and a bit of a wait for it to arrive. We were lucky to have lovely neighbours next to us and opposite and enjoyed lots of relaxing chats outside and dogs playing together.
Disliked Just the pitch size was a little bit too small for 2 vans with awnings

From the manager: Thank you for your review.
I just wanted to add for people that book in the future, our pitch size is 5m x 8m at the maximum and when booking you need to take into consideration the size of your awnings as well as your unit size.
Our XL pitches are great for larger vehicles and set ups.

Liked Greeting was really friendly, solo pitch a good size, facilities clean and well kept. Kids enjoyed playing on park.
Stayed as an overnight stop on the way to cornwall, no complaints with the campsite at all and are stopping on the way home.
.
Disliked The only negative although not sure if they are fully linked is the pub restaurant next door. Overpriced and food not great, wont be eating there on our return.
