Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Access to showers and toilets. Location to the water park and a local pub.

Disliked Couldn’t find an Elsa’s point and all toilets were struggling with some blocked and unusable. Lack of storage for waste is a big problem I hope you can fix it for next year.As I can see it is a new camp. Also showers were always cold on my visits daily lucky it was so hot.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked We stayed here with our 3 adult children for 3 nights and loved it. We found the pitches to be large enough for us all and the host went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The toilet blocks were clean and the pitches and surrounding areas, well maintained. Sadly the brewery was no longer there but the local pub, just a short walk away served really lovely food.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Other than the location - this was a poor experience and the description on pitch up is very misleading

Disliked Tap room was closed and website did not state this.
Coffee shop / cafe was closed and is apparently permanently closed but is still advertised
Dog poo everywhere, despite paying extra to have our dogs there… we had to pick other dog poo off our pitch as well as cleaning up our own.
Thistles everywhere and craters in the ground from it being so dry.
Basically paid to sleep in a field
No elsan point
No vending machine as described on the website.
No staff anywhere to speak to or discuss the above with

What customers say

This campsite offers a quiet, well-maintained setting with spacious pitches and nearby walking routes. While some guests praised the clean toilet facilities and on-site bar/brewery (check opening times), others reported issues. Complaints included a lack of staff presence, misleading descriptions, and poor condition of toilet and shower facilities, with some experiencing unpleasant smells and lack of supplies. Several reviewers felt the site was overpriced for the facilities offered.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked The campsite is very overpriced for facilities, its a lovely clean campsite with great food hut and facilities are adequate , pitches clean and well portioned, just very expensive for what is provided.
Also it seems very silly to not be able to access cotswold beach lake through the field. We stayed here specifically to be close walking distance to lake and beach, it is very close but blocked off with big hedge, so have to walk in the opposite direction to get to lake- 20 min walk

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Pitches perfectly sizes for our vw camper. The entire site was huge, with loads of facilities. The other campers were exceptionally friendly.
The van onsite did really tasty food.

Disliked Local pub (Hunter’s Arms) is excellent but very expensive. Not a single shop (that I could find) in the village. Trying to walk to the local lakes was hard (along main roads), and once you get there you need a wristband to be allowed to purchase a tea/coffee.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked We were one of only 3 pitches set up.
Sunrise and sunsets were beautiful.
Showers and toilets very clean. Washing up area good.
There was some food by way of a trailer when we arrived.
Pub down the road had excellent food but is tiny so you should book.

Disliked Thought it was abit over priced for available facilities/amenities. Although enjoyed the peace and quiet.
Have paid less for sites with club house : arcade/ take away/ supermarket/ park and all sorts.
It’s essentially just a field.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Very good sized pitch (10x10m) with electric hookup. There are toilets, showers and small wash facility should you need it, these were kept very clean from what I saw but we didn't use them ourselves.

There isn't anything (permanent) on the site other than businesses using lockups/units, no shop nearby (8 min drive to nearest which was a co-op) so just ensure you have all you need with you. This being said they did have a small food truck that serves full English and also India options such as curries and also chicken wings.. we had the full English and it was lovely and used premium ingredients. The owner said they were just there at weekends but I'm unsure how 'permanent' that is?

At £50 per night it is in the steep side compared to other sites that have more to offer on site, but it is located in the beautiful Cotswolds so kind of expected.

We would definitely stay here again as we are self sufficient in our touring caravan.

Easy access with a farm gate that magnetically locks during the night (code is provided prior to arrival).

NO WIFI available and signal is super poor.. brilliant if your wanted to reconnect without internet and phones but bad if you want to watch TV or stream a film.

Taxi took 10-15 minutes to get to Cirencester and coated around £15 through Uber.
