Off on a family getaway in the Cotswolds? You must be heading for Cotswold Lakes Camping, a Wanderlust Camping Club certified campsite, which provides a blend of adventure activities and basic comforts.  The site is a short walk from the Cotswold Lakes, and you can spend your days exploring pretty Cotswold villages, hiking sections of the Thames Path and refuelling in traditional Cotswold pubs. If you’d rather get active with the kids, kayaking, watersports and fishing – for novices or seasoned pros – are all available a short drive away from the pitches. Facilities on site include mains water, hot showers and a recharge station. Self-catering is also easy, as the site has communal barbecues for guests to use alongside an indoor kitchen with three sinks, a microwave and a phone-charging tower and an outdoor kitchen with two washing-up sinks. Dogs are welcome on site, just as long as they’re kept on leads, and they even have their own designated walking areas.

喜欢 Helpful owners, clean, food served in a horse box truck until 9pm which was good. Clean showers. Even phone charger boxes with locks! Good toilets, quiet and everyone was lovely there. Really great site.

喜欢 Lovely pitches, well kept facilities and relaxing atmosphere. Food looked good, didn't have any but brought a ice cream which was nice. Allowed to choose our pitch which was nice. Great location for the water park.

喜欢 Spacious, peaceful, nice showers, toilet ok.

不喜欢 Parked near shower/toilet block. Wind blowing towards me brought smell of sewage. This is not within campsite control pitch is on London to America flight path noisy. Dog owners dog barking at geese 4am. Otherwise pleasant campsite.

喜欢 Very clean and tidy camp site, easy to find and access.

不喜欢 No heating in showers so very cold gett dressed, power was not the best

WiFi was not great kept losing connection and telling me to many gueat using it so could not connect at times.

不喜欢 Make sure to bring your own firepit because there’s no restrictions on how long you can use the ones provided so people were just hogging them and there weren’t enough to go around!

喜欢 It was really lovely. Nice and clean and tidy, good size pitches, enough space for the kids to play! Really nice looked after toilets and showers. Loved that it had a little food/drinks cart there. Very nice, will definitely be back!

The beach at Cotswold Country Park is a mere 20 minutes’ walk away, where you can bounce around on the inflatable obstacle course. For more alfresco activities, hire cycles from Discover Bikes (10 minutes’ drive) and set off on woodland rides, or head to Lake 32 Outdoor Centre, where you can all take part in family paddleboarding and kayaking jaunts. You can also test your skills at archery at The Cotswold Range (both five minutes). Add a bit of culture into your holiday mix by checking out the mosaic flooring and ancient Roman version of central heating at National Trust - Chedworth Roman Villa (half an hour). Closer to base camp, there’s a wonderful sculpture trail with more than 170 installations in the Cotswold Sculpture Park (five minutes’ walk). Fancy a day petting farm animals and trying to spot a celebrity? Do both at Cotswold Farm Park (35 minutes’ drive), the brainchild of TV personality Adam Henson, and home of Shire horses, rare-breed sheep and cattle. You can also meet eye-to-eye with giraffes on the raised Giraffe Walkway at Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens (40 minutes).
