What customers say

This campsite offers spacious, flat pitches and boasts immaculately clean and modern facilities, including excellent showers and family bathrooms. Guests consistently praise the friendly, helpful, and welcoming owners, Ruth and John. The on-site cafe is a popular perk, serving good coffee and breakfast rolls. The site is also noted for its quiet atmosphere and ample space for children to play. While some mention road noise from the M5, the overwhelming sentiment is positive, with many visitors expressing a strong desire to return.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Fantastic site with great facilities. Excellent location for exploring the local area. Facilities were so clean and well maintained, as was the cafe area. The breakfast sandwiches are definitely worth a try. Ruth was just lovely too. On the last day let our girls feed the goats which that absolutely loved.

Disliked Nothing at all.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked We had a fantastic long weekend at Elmwicke. The toilet & bathroom facilities were always spotless, and the family shower room was a godsend. The pitches were flat, on a nice big open field, with a football goal in the middle which was enjoyed by young and old. The kids also loved the tractor ride. Would highly recommend camping at Elmwicke.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Fantastic campsite, fantastic staff who go over and beyond to make your stay even better. Facilities very clean and well looked after. Natural and quiet camping with lovely places to visit nearby. The on site cafe with fresh breakfast is definitely a bonus. Only been there for 3 nights but felt like a week - very much recommend this camping.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Amazing amount of space and freedom to pitch where we wanted. Fire pit available at no charge with lots of wood available to purchase. Very friendly on site with wonderful hospitality at the café for breakfast and engagement directly with our son rather than talking to him through us really put a smile on his face.

Disliked Nothing, it was perfect!

Local attractions

Gather the kids up for games of mini-golf at Sherdons Golf Centre’s Pirate Adventure (five minutes’ drive), or let them have a look at the Harry Potter film locations in Gloucester Cathedral (20 minutes). They can follow treasure trails at Puzzlewood in the Forest of Dean (both 50 minutes), where you can also hike forest paths or up the activity levels and get some cycling in. Keen for more exercise? Have a go at skiing or tubing at Gloucester Ski and Snowboard Centre, or head for Sandford Parks Lido in Cheltenham (both 25 minutes), with its gorgeous Art Deco architecture and two outdoor pools to cool off in on sunny days. Mooch around indie shops in Tewkesbury (10 minutes), where you can also visit the historic abbey, grab an ice-cream or relax on a boat trip along the Severn and Avon rivers. Mellow-stone Cotswolds towns to add to your itinerary include Broadway (half an hour) for its delightful architecture and design museums, and Stow-on-the-Wold (40 minutes) for its cracking selection of antique shops.
