Gostou We visited as a large party of 15, celebrating a family birthday. We discovered this campsite since it was in an ideal central location for the family to meet. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival by the cleanliness of all of the facilities. Most of us are avid campers, who have been to many varied campsites across the UK, and very few have met the cleanliness of those at Elmwicke. The staff on site were extremely friendly and approachable with any queries we had. There are plenty of local takeaways who deliver right to the campsite entrance. BBQs are allowed, so are mini campfires. There was plenty of space for our family to play some friendly games of football and cricket too! There is a lovely coffee shop/cafe, that serve breakfast in the mornings, along with a selection of snacks and drinks too. The ground is completely level throughout the whole campsite, allowing for a comfortable setup and decent night sleep.

I would like to mention one personal thanks to the owners of the campsite too. We had taken a gazebo for the family to sit under during the stormy weather. And while we were out for the day, a gust of wind had lifted the gazebo into the next field. The owners very quickly came to dismantle the gazebo for us and packed it away tidily for our return. I cannot thank Jonathan & Ruth enough!

Não gostou My only negative was that our stay was so short. If we were able to stay for longer, we really would have.

Gostou We had a lovely peaceful weekend here. Facilities are clean and never a queue. Good washing up area with fridges and washing machine if needed. Owner very friendly. Enjoyed sitting by the fire pit watching the sunset. Will definitely return.

Gostou We found this gem of a campsite towards the end of last season unfortunately but still squeezed in a few trips. My partner said and I quote "I'm never staying anywhere else again!". We've just come home from our first visit there of 2026 and it's just as we remember it. The facilities are always clean, tidy, well stocked & well looked after. Ruth & Jon are so lovely & helpful as well which makes a world of difference when staying somewhere! My favourite thing though is the sunset, you are guaranteed a fantastic sunset everytime. There's something about this site that just makes you feel so relaxed and comfortable. Looking forward to our next few upcoming trips!

Gostou Great amenities, fridge, freezer and washing machine available. Well kept cleaning block, reception cafe. Large flat field perfect for disconnecting. Plenty of room for children to run around and play. Generous pitch sizes. Thank you to Ruth and John.

Gostou Fantastic place… the pitches are very spacious and there is lots of space in the middle for kids to run around. The facilities are very clean and very pleasantly decorated. The views are great and there is general feeling of relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. The owner was very approachable and very welcoming. There is also a little cafe available but we did t use it so can’t comment on it but it’s certainly a nice touch. We’ll be happy to come back! Highly recommended!

Gostou Friendly welcome, lovely flat site with plenty of room, spotless toilets and showers and the little cafe is a nice bonus.
