Elmwicke Campsite

Μου άρεσε Hosts are lovely, Ruth was very friendly and helpful. Toilet block, showers, washing up facilities all well maintained clean and tidy. We loved how accomodating you are with both gender neutral and disabled access toilet/shower blocks. We loved having access to the fridges and freezers (2 of each) with also access to a washing machine. The camping field is very level and sheilded by hedges. Lovely to see all the goats, sheep and cows. Even had entertainment of some sheep escaping into the camping field, of course we helped put them back. Even had access to WiFi. Ruth replied to messages really quickly. Has the best sunrises and sunsets, these really were a highlight to our day with the use of a firepit - we took our own firepit but the site does have some to use. You can buy starter kits, logs and Firelighters here which made it much easier than going out although shops are only a matter of 8-10 minutes away. Local to pubs some even walking distance.

Δεν μου άρεσε I didnt want to dislike anything and we truly would come back again but leaving an honest review - the road noise was a lot louder than we thought it would be - only a few miles from the M5 (its still a great location for the Cotswolds and Cheltenham also local farm shops and pubs. The noise always seemed louder between 3am - 4am and did wake us a few times, but for those used to living near road traffic wouldn't probably even notice this or just use ear plugs next time. The only other thing we felt was a bit misleading was the 'cafe' and meat packs. The reception had a table a chairs with the facility of reasonably priced hot and cold drinks and ability to pre order breakfast. Although we stayed off peak time so maybe it has more during the summer but we'd have loved to be able to purchase things as we didn't see or get offered anything about meat packs to pre order and buy and feel this would be a great bonus to farm life camping for breakfast or bbqs. Maybe even an idea would be to utilise the reception space and sell some necessities such as fairy liquid etc. Would've loved to try some more local meat, we did buy some from the local farm shop.

Μου άρεσε This site is lovely from the amazing owners, to the lovely clean shower block, the pretty field, the onsite little cafe with a disco ball, the best hot chocolate, the surprise tractor ride for the children, it really is a fab place to stay!

Μου άρεσε What a gem this place is! Do not pass over if looking for somewhere with all the facilities and more to explore the surrounding areas. The hosts were super friendly, gave us a choice where to pitch up, explained where everything was, offered us breakfast from the cafe and if we needed anything to just get in touch. The site was immaculate, grass mown and level pitches, facilities super clean and well stocked with toilet roll, sanitary products, bins etc. Showers were lovely and hot, and powerful which is definitely a plus! There was an option for a fire pit and we had a fire both nights and sat out to see the stars. The local animals and wildlife was a bonus too, lovely to hear and see the little lambs shouting to their mums. So much to do in the local areas too, we travelled to Bourton on the water for the day, would highly recommend. Overall the site has everything you'd need for a great, relaxed, peaceful stay. Would definitely reccomend and be back in the future! Thank you

Μου άρεσε Spacious pitch, Clean site. Arrived to be greeted by owner Ruth. Warm welcome, shown to our pitch, the cafe and shop and the facilities. 100% on cleanliness of toilets and showers. Everything supplied including hairdryer, washer and dryer. Will be returning even just for icecream for my son 🤗

Μου άρεσε Just absolutely loved it. Brilliant hosts. Fantastic facilities way above what I’ve had camping before. Recommended a local farm shop for us to get fresh meat. Fridges to store food! Hot showers and clean toilets. Beautiful open space! Super peaceful.

Μου άρεσε We enjoyed our stay at Elmwicke camp site. On arrival Ruth made us very welcome and continued with the same tone throughout our stay. The pitches were spacious and we were granted the freedom to set-up wherever we wanted due to it being less busy than usual. The amenities were clean and everything to be desired on a campsite. With a pot wash, freezers and even a washing machine. On our last day we pre-ordered a bacon & sausage cob for the next morning which was delightful 😊. Everything you would want from campsite and more. Thank you!
