A small, friendly campsite located behind a country pub, praised for its welcoming staff, excellent food, and convenient location for walks. Facilities include toilets and showers in a static caravan and a useful honesty shop. Non-electric hardstanding and grass pitch
Liked Great spot, lots of footpaths cutting through the hills originating very close to the campsite. Great area for motorcycling either on road or off-road. Pub food was excellent so there was no need to cook ourselves. Clean and tidy. On site shop was well stocked.
Disliked My own fault, use postcode to find the Devonshire Arms as there are a few with same name. I ended up at, Hartington on the first attempt, and im not the only one according to the bar staff.

A great little find
Non-electric hardstanding and grass pitch
Liked Small pitch right next to the pub in a perfect location in the Peaks. Staff are also friendly and welcoming... our group met camping here and have come back for a reunion for the last 2 years running 😊
The honestly shop is really well stocked also and a great little initiative
Disliked The worst bit is the night time loos - that would be the only improvement which could possibly be made. Having said this all of the likes above outweigh the minus point and we still love our annual visit 😊

Liked Nice quiet area
Disliked The toilet and shower in the static caravan was feisty, mold on the blinds and smelt badly.
The food was overpriced and the meal was terrible.

Pleasant site that allows dogs. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Non-electric hardstanding and grass pitch
Liked Inexpensive and basic site. Friendly staff at the pub and nice food. Toilet and shower available. Great honesty shop run by the pub. Overall had everything I needed for a one night stay whilst on the way further up north. I was glad to support a local business that has diversified to keep going in difficult times.
Disliked The road nearby was a bit noisy but it didn't affect me sleeping.

Non-electric hardstanding and grass pitch
Liked It is a delightful small, simple camping space at back of a quiet country pub with excellent amenities - choice of bathroom facilities, well stocked little outdoor shop with honesty box and a very warm and welcoming pub!
Perfectly placed for hikes in the area. I enjoyed my stay and hope to come back

Great site, level pitch, excellent staff and will stay again
Non-electric hardstanding and grass pitch
Liked Nice little grass pitch for a nights stay.
We have a tentbox and had plenty of space as the site allows up to 4 pitches at a time. Has a cute honesty shop with cash and card option - only used cash but could see the card machine.
We ate in the pub & food was 10/10 excellent service and options.
The pitch being just off the pub carpark also means a cheeky cider or 2…
Ideal location for walks from site or a base overnight so a little closer for an early get up and go like myself.
Static caravan provided toilets and shower but didn’t use shower just toilet and sinks. Key code option to use pub toilets but didn’t feel like needed that as the caravan was fine.
Would stay here again and for the price you can’t not !
Nice to see fairly priced locations with facilities.
Disliked A little road noise once settled down but didn’t disturb over all just mentioning as road is close to the site, also a little noise from the pub again didn’t bother us background laughter and chatter wasn’t music or anything particularly loud and we did have the pitch closets to the pub but I do feel like you’d hear it if you was at the back of the pitch.
Again it’s not a major dislike just making people aware.
