What customers say
This is a beautifully maintained campsite in a stunning Peak District location, praised for its exceptional cleanliness, modern facilities, and friendly, helpful staff. Pitches are generously sized, and the site offers a peaceful atmosphere ideal for exploring local walks. Some minor points mentioned include slight slopes on pitches and variable WiFi, though these did not detract significantly from the overwhelmingly positive experiences. The site is highly recommended and many visitors express a desire to return.

Absolutely Outstanding Campsite – We’ll Definitely Be Back!
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked We especially loved how peaceful and relaxing it was, while still being perfectly located for exploring Hartington, Buxton and the surrounding Peak District. The little extras, from the on-site facilities to the friendly animals, really made our stay special.
If you’re looking for a clean, scenic, well-run campsite with fantastic facilities and a warm welcome, Hartington Hills is hard to beat. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always happy to help and full of useful local knowledge.
We had an amazing stay at Hartington Hills and honestly couldn’t fault a thing. The location is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views across the Peak District and plenty of beautiful walks right from the campsite. The site itself is immaculate – everything is incredibly well maintained, and the shower and toilet facilities are some of the best we’ve ever experienced while camping.
A well-deserved 10/10 – we can’t wait to return!

Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Lovely site with stunning views
Pitches are kept in pristine condition.
Shop well stocked, showers and toilets very warm and spotless.
Thinking about coming back this next weekend!
Disliked Our pitch was on a slight incline and due to rain it all ran down that incline which pooled at our tent entrance so getting in and out of tent was a nightmare.

5 star resort with equally top star owners!!
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Lovely, clean and very spacious site that even the rubbish weather couldn't spoil. The couple running the site were very friendly and super helpful.
Oh, the cleanest toilet/shower block we've ever had and a bonus of heated floor. The cheap usage of quality fire pits is a great touch despite the bad weather meaning we couldn't use one.
Disliked Nothing to dislike. No pubs close enough with Sky Sports but not the sites fault obviously
