Beautiful pre Xmas short break location.
Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked First stayed here in 2019 and it’s even better than it was back then! Very welcoming reception with a range of “essentials” stocked for the forgetful camper like me. Hardstandings are well constructed and spaced generously with fully serviced hook-ups conveniently located. Fantastic views available but mist and fog didn’t help me enjoy them! The site is so peaceful and quiet, yet with the facilities in Hartington and the rest of the Peaks a short drive or a longish walk away. Toilet block is superb, warm, clean, and large enough for the site. WiFi was faultless and no issues with the unmetered electrics tripping. Range of walks available in the immediate area for the serious hiker through to the casual stroller. Will definitely be returning. Well done to the owners, the site is a credit to you and all your hard work to keep it up to this high standard.
Disliked Make sure you access the site via Hartington, rather than the way your sat nav probably tells you if you are coming up from the south, as the route is much easier. It’s not the cheapest but quality costs, so not really a dislike.
