Lovely and Clean Campsite
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Really lovely campsite! Easy to find, and the toilets were very clean! There are lots of places for walks around too! Would 100% recommend and come again if we want to camp in the Peak District.
Disliked The only negative part of our experience wasn’t directly the campsites fault. But the pub next door had a grassy section next to the campsite where a couple families pitched up tents. There was screaming children and music playing till 11pm so didn’t fit into our child free quiet weekend. But it’s one of those things you can’t really account for!

What customers say
This is a quiet, spacious campsite with a friendly and welcoming owner, ideal for those seeking a back-to-basics experience. It's praised for its clean toilet facilities and convenient location, particularly its proximity to a good local pub and walking routes in the Peaks. While some guests noted a lack of showers and occasional issues with navigation or basic facility maintenance, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

Nice and small, so it’s quiet. You get plenty of space between pitches.
Local pub is super lovely too! Very dog friendly!
Felt very safe as a female only group.
Super easy to find just make sure you follow the instructions to the post code, as it doesn’t come under Fields Farm on Google!

Perfect little spot in the Peaks!
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Lovely little field with gorgeous views. There was a very clean toilet on site. James was lovely and polite. Only a 15min drive to Castleton.
The local pub (which is a 2 min walk) served homemade food, the staff were great and the food was yum, it was quite busy so I'm glad we booked!

If it had been advertised as a family site
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Basic site with toilets no showers. Hop over the style to pub with delicious food a shop with honesty box and a pizza van.
Disliked We booked this campsite specifically because it was advertised as adults only. I even emailed to confirm this, and was told it was indeed an adults-only site.
Unfortunately, there were children staying on the campsite, running around and kicking footballs. When I queried this, the owner explained they had been booked in by mistake but would be allowed to stay. I was offered a refund if I chose to leave, which we did because the campsite was no longer the peaceful, adults-only environment we had deliberately booked.
This isn't about disliking children. I'm autistic and I rely on clear expectations and planning. I specifically choose adults-only sites because they provide the quiet atmosphere that helps me relax. When those expectations changed, it was genuinely upsetting and meant the break I'd planned wasn't possible.
Although I was offered a refund when we left, I never actually received it, which added to the disappointment.
I'm leaving this review simply so that anyone booking because they want an adults-only experience is aware that this may not always be the case.
