Remote touring site
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch (members only)
Liked A nice little site with eight pitches right next to a very nice pub serving good food. This site had 24hr toilet and shower. Water and elsan point. Everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Disliked Facilities were a little tired but functional. Some parts of the site were not level.

Liked Location was perfect. In the country side and close to Alton Towers (the reason we booked as others were full)
Disliked Toilets and shower block was awful. No lighting so had to shower with a torch in the evening. The shower leaked from the cubicle which then flooded the toilet cubicle and sink area. (No mop to clean it up) It was dirty and smelt of damp.
There wasn't anywhere to get rid of your waste.
We definitely wouldn't stop again, using the bathroom facilities was not pleasant for our young children!

Liked Very good food.
Overnight stay in an okish site
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch (members only)
Liked Lovely views and reasonably flat pitch. Staff in pub nice and beer was good
Disliked Pitch was grass, but was described as hardstanding and grass - there was no hardstanding. Area very small.
Toilets / shower, while private for use of site, were very basic and not well kept at all - in fact seemed very run down
Pub is up for sale which may explain why the place looked run down
A cheeky overnight stay with beautiful weather and great food.

Liked The pub was lovely. Fantastic food, friendly local punters and the lady running it all was down to earth, knowledgeable of the local area and really friendly. She was accommodating for our yappy dog.
The pitch was big, clean and level.
Disliked The field was small for maneuvering the caravan, however once in place there was plenty of room.

Liked Lovely quiet spot, except for the odd farming vehicle but very few. It's a simple field but that's all you need. Lovely little pub, friendly mom and daughter run this and friendly locals. Great food, large portions. Basic toilet and shower, clean and perfect for a weekend stay. WIFI okay but we had a booster, but you go to quiet places to get away from the constraints of mobiles.
Would definitely go again.
