Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Very friendly wardens, informative and super easy process to check in.
Showers etc were in plentiful supply, very clean and warm too.
The location is really handy for many wonderful places in the Peak District, it’s well connected road wise but there isn’t traffic noise even though it’s close- fantastic!! Lovely views, and friendly fellow campers.
Disliked My minor gripe is a shower to stay on- they are push ones but you don’t get long. If you’ve got long hair like me it’s a pain.

Excellent, clean, and well run site.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Spacious pitches, good facilities (toilets, showers, wash area etc), clean, well managed site.
Disliked The only downside really was no sort of play area for kids. We knew that prior to booking though so it wasn’t a disappointment. Oh, and one of the chickens seemed to like our kitchen and dome shelter area which was fine until it started sh***ing all over the place. We ended up having to barricade it out. The kids loved it though! Mobile phone reception was very poor to non-existent.

Liked Lovely setting with ample space for tent and car and gazebo. Good facilities for showering and toilets. Didn't have to queue. Very friendly staff.
Disliked A little too busy for us but would still return maybe during a quieter time.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Very friendly and helpful owners. Good instructions. Lovely field overlooking some stunning scenery.
Showers hot and lots of toilet and washing etc facilities.
Nothing really to dislike- we were in ‘pretty field’ which was perfect but the other field maybe didn’t have much of a view.
It was quite noisy for a campsite- a lot of kids and a group of boys kept kicking the football into our tent so a separate ‘sports area’ might be quite good at some point- it’s oniy a suggestion - but everyone did respect the 11 pm quiet rule.
Great location just outside Ashbourne and perfect for walking around Dovedale.

Fantastic stay. We will be back.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Pitches were well spaced out. The couple running the campsite were really nice. Everything was spotlessly clean.
We had a campfire which was brilliant. Little tuk shop for the kids was really good.
Disliked Not really a major dislike, but could do with a couple more toilets. And a few more mirrors. But not really a dislike.

Liked Lovely accommodating staff, the views were nice and the fields were well kept.
Clean toilets.
Loved the availability of fire pits and wood, saves taking one as there’s limited space in the car.
Feels very safe with a gated entrance also.
Great location, close to Dovedale, Ashbourne, Alton towers, Illam park.
Disliked Some basic food availability would be helpful,
