Electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Lovely location near to Ashbourne, Leek and Cheadle. Great for Alton Towers and Peak Wildlife. Great location for walking, near to Ilam Hall which is a beautiful place to spend some time. Clean toilets and showers, washing up area, small shop/reception but this is being upgraded.

Electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked The campsite is very spacious with a great environment. Everywhere is clean, especially the toilets and showers. They are kept extremely tidy, and everyone seems to clean up after themselves out of respect for the hard work of the cleaning staff. It makes the facilities pleasant for everyone to use.
The location is also very convenient. There’s a restaurant just 1 minute away by car, and an ALDI about 3 minutes away where you can buy anything you need. During my stay, I visited Treak Cliff Cavern, the National Nature Reserve, Stepping Stones and Reynard’s Cave, and TeamSport Go Karting in Stoke‑on‑Trent. All of these places were easy to reach by car, and each spot was unique and enjoyable.
Disliked The only issue was the electricity on my grass pitch. The voltage didn’t seem strong enough — even when I was just using a household kettle, the power kept tripping. I couldn’t use more than one household cooking appliance at the same time, which was a bit inconvenient. I’m not sure whether it was just a problem with my pitch or a general issue.

Electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Great location. Alton towers very close by. Big open fields farmers field with sheep and cows on them which is nice to see
Really friendly staff and helped with any issues we had..
nice local pub only 5min walk away.
Can hire a fire pit and wood for cheap
Disliked Wished we was at other side of field due to being first to be out of the sun due to trees…
Little noisy in mornings as they had workers building on site. Always after 9am tho which was good.
Bathrooms are nice and Just what you need. But unfinished touches with pipes shown above showers.. just little DIY
Only picky stuff did not affect the stay at all.

Electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Lovely big pitches, so though busy at the weekend, didn’t feel cramped. Great location near a few Ethel’s, if you’re like me and that’s your thing!
Disliked Not the fault of the campsite but the footpaths around are not easily accessible, with many overgrown, many access gates chained and padlocked and lots of missing or broken signs.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Very friendly wardens, informative and super easy process to check in.
Showers etc were in plentiful supply, very clean and warm too.
The location is really handy for many wonderful places in the Peak District, it’s well connected road wise but there isn’t traffic noise even though it’s close- fantastic!! Lovely views, and friendly fellow campers.
Disliked My minor gripe is a shower to stay on- they are push ones but you don’t get long. If you’ve got long hair like me it’s a pain.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked We liked everything about this camp from our friendly welcoming to flat ground
The showers and washing up areas are spotless
There's absolutely nothing to dislike and we will return time and again (thankyou)
Disliked There was just one thing my partner never had WiFi or signal and hes the principal carer for his elderly momma bear and he likes to touch base with her twice daily phone calls if hes not around in person
Luckily I had so he was able to reach her on my phone however none of us are bothered about going off grid to be perfectly honest thats why we camp but just for that peace of mind in anycase im sure the camp owners would let us use their phone if needed be so it hasn't put us off

Excellent, clean, and well run site.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Spacious pitches, good facilities (toilets, showers, wash area etc), clean, well managed site.
Disliked The only downside really was no sort of play area for kids. We knew that prior to booking though so it wasn’t a disappointment. Oh, and one of the chickens seemed to like our kitchen and dome shelter area which was fine until it started sh***ing all over the place. We ended up having to barricade it out. The kids loved it though! Mobile phone reception was very poor to non-existent.
