What customers say
This is a well-maintained and clean site with friendly staff, praised for its excellent play park and indoor swimming pool. Glamping pods offer comfortable stays with private facilities. Its location is ideal for exploring the Peak District and accessing the Tissington Trail. Some guests noted the distance to toilet blocks from camping pitches and occasional issues with shower cleanliness and water temperature.

Bell tent (four person)
Liked The park and swimming pool were great and clean.
Disliked The toilets were too much of a walk when you have small children. Also walking through a wooded area when it’s pitched black isn’t nice.
The portaloos that were the only option in the field we were in were absolutely disgusting. They smelt and were full. My children constantly asked what that smell was as we could smell them in our tent.

Lovely family friendly site
Bell tent (four person)
Liked Lovely site. We stayed in one of the new bell tents which were brilliant. Our daughter enjoyed the space to run around and very much enjoyed the swimming pool and playground. Proximity to the Tissington Trail was a bonus so we could cycle to Ashbourne and Tissington. Lovely traffic free relatively flat route perfect for our daughter who is still leartto cycle. Lots to do in the area as well. The staff at the site are also very friendly and cannot do enough to help.
Disliked The bell tents are certainly new and I get the feeling the field they and additional camping are in is new as well. In the future I hope they add a toilet and shower block with washing up facilities to this field as it was a little bit of a walk to the other block to do washing up or have a shower. The Portaloos for the bell tents were brilliant though.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Friendly staff, well kept camp site, nice shop & park, pool was clean and fresh when swimming with the children.
Disliked We only stayed one night but toilets weren't cleaned when visting at 8am, when you wake up the last thing you need are un clean facilities, nothing major but sure there is a shedule.

Liked Excellent site for families, and great facilities (camped as family of 4, two young children)

Better for caravaning than camping.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Setting was lovely. Easy to get to the town. The pool was good. Staff were friendly and welcoming, especially to children in our party.
Disliked Unfortunately the facilities were filthy. Cleaners went into the toilets and did the bare minimum, and there was significant filth in the toilets left from morning until night. There was a build up of mould in the showers so obviously they were being surface cleaned and not ever deep cleaned. There were five women’s toilets, one of which did not have a lock (this did end up being the cleanest toilet though so I would send my daughter in there and hold it shut!)
Disappointing as the rest of the experience was so good.

Liked Loved the site , lots for the children to do, very busy whilst we were there but it was quiet by 10.30pm.
Disliked The toilets were messy for most of the day. Not enough toilets & showers available for a site of this size.
