Ideally situated for both the town and the beaches, staff very friendly and helpful, we were met at the ferry port by the owner and followed her to the site, didn't expect that was a lovely welcome.

A good clean Aire type site 06/04/2018

    The location:
Based on the French style Aires, the site is tucked away in a steep sided valley, in the base of a quarry, well protected from any wind.
Unless you're really fit both the track to the main road, and the main road to the nearest pub/shops, are too steep to cycle or walk, so paying £5 for a taxi I found preferable for a night at the lovely Goose pub (from where the buses also run).
You'll be parked on the tunnel excavations of prisoners toils from the German occupation during WW2, and there's even still the sealed off entrance to a tunnel on site. So make sure to check out the large lumps of granite for blasting holes and the likes, and talk to the friendly owner's, to discover a real bit of history.

    Disliked:

Aside from the steep track to the main road, and getting a bit of gravel dirt in the camper (as it rained a few days of my trip), I've no complaints whatsoever about the site.
£2 per dog per night now seems the norm, but it's rather excessive for an Aire, provided owner's always clean up after their pet's (as i always do).

From the manager...

Thank you for your comments.
As this is an adult only site, we are not sure why you gave 'child friendliness' a one star rating.
We look forward to seeing you again on your next visit in June, and hope the weather will be kinder to you !

Wonderful 23/08/2017

Beautifully presented site. Similar to UK CC Certificated Location but only site on Jersey with all hard standing (large) pitches, each with hookup and mains water at pitch. Excellent disposal facilities for motorhomes including driveover grey waste disposal. Although site is adjacent to a main road it is secluded and the traffic is not obtrusive. Neither does it feel isolated or insecure because there are carers at the adjacent cottage all day and night. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful, and met us off the ferry to show us the way here, without being asked.
There is an easy and pleasant 15-20 minute walk down to the coast at Beaumont, from where there are beautiful coastal walks and cycle rides. There is also a co-op shop and post office there and a couple of pubs. The site is well placed for visiting places all over the island, being alongside the main road to the airport.
Although a recycling plant has been mentioned this is only for stone recycling so there are no smells associated with it. It was not operating at all during our two week stay so we cannot comment on the noise.

All this for £8-12 less than the other sites on the island. Excellent value!

    Disliked:

    Nothing to dislike.

From the manager...

Pleased that you enjoyed your stay.
Thank you for your kind words, it makes all the hard work setting up this new stopover site worthwhile.
Hope we see you again soon.

voldoende faciliteiten; vriendelijke beheerder; mooie vlakke plaatsen 23/05/2018

Follow the track to the bottom, and there you'll see the stopover on the right.

Local attractions

Jersey's a stunning isle for all sorts of outdoor adventures... or merely meandering around camera in hand and picnic on back seeking the most serene spot.

Your local highlights include Greve de Lecq beach and bay (10 minutes' drive), a popular Jersey beach for its wide stretch of golden sand and easy accessibility by car or local bus routes. Cafés and pubs aplenty are in the streets surrounding the sands.

Beach buffs should also like Plemont five minutes' drive further to the north, a spectacular beach that's a top pick for surfing, swimming, rockpooling and caving; access it via the wooden staircase leading from the famed beach café down to the sea. If you're feeling fully energetic, the Jersey Sea Sport Centre for jetskiing, water skiing, wakeboarding, banana and speed boat trips is five minutes' drive from the site.

Away from the sea and sands, take a look at the medieval house and gardens of Samarès Manor, or the endangered species at Jersey Zoo, set up in the 1960s by famed naturalist Gerald Durrell; both are 20 minutes away.
