Liked Regular visitor and as usual a great experience. We had the entire site to ourselves this time (has everyone given up for winter already?). The weather the first night was raining and quite windy, but we just hunkered down. Second evening was an absolutely beautiful evening so we went and said hi to the cows and then watched the sunset. Thanks again for a pleasant stay, we'll be back!

Disliked Nothing. Husband has got the hang of the elsan loo now and didn't get himself covered this time!

Liked This was our 4th visit and as per usual love it! Had a side pitch this time instead of field view and was again a lovely experience other than it being a slightly hilly pitch for my low slung car.

Liked Been here a few times before and always love this site. Beautiful views and relaxed atmosphere, excellent value for money!

Disliked Husband got splashback all over his face from the Elsan point as it couldn't cope with a number of vans being emptied one after the other at checkout time, so was starting to overflow and back up.

Liked The view was amazing and we loved how peaceful the site was. We liked the limited facilities as it puts a lot of people off but perfectly fine for us. Plenty of beautiful walks on doorstep and Hartington is a lovely village just down the road. I had full phone signal which was nice but my partner had none so just teathered to mine.

Disliked Not dislike but a note that it can be a bit tight trying to get a larger van in if you're down the far end by the field (luckily ours is small but was lots of manoeuvring with a larger car). The waste disposal is a toilet and makes a lot of mess and splash back when emptying the cassette.

Disliked Only came here as my usual go to campsite was closed due to licensing issues. (they had hot proper showers, freezers, microwave, etc for same price). For the facilities it's too expensive! Not hot water at all. Had to have cold showers and wash up with cold water, so resorted to boiling the kettle to wash up and strip wash. Farmer was ploughing the surrounding fields the whole weekend, all day and evening, couldn't hear eachother talk it was so loud. Sounded like an airplane engine, not a peaceful relaxing location! Track to site is very long and pot holes in need of attention, very rough ride. Grass was quite long in camping field, soaked everything. Was expecting a sea view, but the photo on site is taken from another field with no facilities and not advertised to camp in. Had a slight sea view if stood on the wall at top of field.

From the manager: Hi, So sorry that we dont have freezers, microwave, etc we don't advertise this and do not have power, we are an eco site and proud of that. The showers on site are hot, you can see from the other reviews. My number is also on-site in several locations if needed help. Im so sorry you struggled with them. Both fields are open to camp including the one the image you posted is from, however, both fields have sea views as you can see from customer pictures on pitch up (not ours) The farmers in a surrounding field are out of our control, the day mentioned they would have been heard from any campsite in a 10-mile radius. We cant control the farmers in a rural area, and need to remember they are doing their best, and farmers mean food. Sorry you were disturbed by them but it really is out of our control. We want our guests to have the best experience possible and do everything we can to make sure of that.

Liked Peaceful and small campsite, clean modern facilities

Disliked Opted for an evening showers after returning from a boiling sweaty day out. Don't know if hot water is available all day but when we used them it was always stone cold water
