Liked + A small site with 12 hard-standing, electric pitches and two small fields for camping. + The staff were friendly and helpful. + A convenient stop-over for Aberhonddu (Brecon). + A scenic location on a farm. + Dog friendly.

Disliked - Site sign could be slightly larger. We drove passed it when we first arrived and had to turn back around. - Not all guests appreciated personal space of other pitches (not a fault with the site, just the other clientele when we stayed).

Liked The location is well-presented, with modern facilities in the centre of the park. A peaceful, adult-only site with a gated dog exercise area. Local parks and businesses are both within walking distance. Cheltenham is easily accessible via cycle paths. The staff were friendly. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. ANPR access with height limits during quiet hours. Wi-Fi was a bonus. We used the site as a base camp as we explored the Cotswolds and Forest of Dean.

Disliked * Pitches are small and closely placed, but privacy has been maintained through clear guidance on each pitch layout. * You can occasionally hear noise from the adjacent A40, as well as small planes flying into and out of Gloucestershire Airport. This is not a fault of the site itself, but it should be noted while booking.

Liked Polstead Country Park is a smaller site. It was quiet, clean and well-maintained. A mixture of hardstanding and grass pitches, all accessed by a gravel driveway. The facilities were clean and functioning and all housed in a central area by the main entrance. There was access to a local dog walk and a local pub within easy walking distance (not dog friendly though).

Liked The site was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly. On-site bar and a well stocked shop. 18+ only, so no late night family gatherings and music. Dog friendly with a large woodland area for walking. Ideal as base-camp for travelling around the New Forest and Dorset coast line.

Disliked The main road into the site is a single carriage way with a couple of blind corners and hidden speed humps. I guess that's why it's named the Back of Beyond. Dog owners not cleaning up after their pets in the woodland walking area.

Liked A small, clean site with minimal facilities (the toilet block closed due to C-19). Friendly staff. A small shop for bare essentials. It is walking distance to Stratford-On-Avon (3.5Km / 50 mins) along the main road with a few hills. The site is competively priced.

Disliked Some pitches are on a slight slope. Fine for caravans but could be an issue for camping.

Liked We only stayed for one night but found the site to be well maintained and clean with friendly staff. There is a pub within 5 minutes walk which serves good food. Quite close to a railway line but passing trains were infrequent and tolerable.
