Arzúa, La Coruna, Spain
Electric hardstanding and grass touring caravan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Lovely site to explore the NW corner of Spain from.
Petrol station with a well stocked mini-supermarket right next to the site.
Only about a 15-20 min walk into the local town (Arzúa) which offers lots of good eating houses.
My favourite cafe which opened at 7am and offered a fantastic breakfast or brunch (favoured by many of the locals) and has lots of parking, was the Cafeteria Chacala.
Arzúa’s roadside cafes also offer an opportunity to admire the steadfast resolve of the steady trickle of people walking towards the Cathedral at Santiago de Compostela on the pilgrim’s walk known as the Camino de Santiago - some of whom, also overnight on the campsite.

Montargil, Ponte de Sor, Portugal
Electric gravel pitch
Liked Great location for me - travelling down from Salamanca, Spain and heading down to the south of Lisbon, Portugal.
Shower and toilet facilities were good and I was allowed to pitch my tent anywhere (relatively quiet time in May).
The food was great in the little cafe and a biking friend, who was travelling down to Morocco and wanted to stay in a hotel that night, was able to book into the on-site hotel, which was very convenient for us!
Highly recommended 🙂🙂🙂
