Liked Lady Edith's is a fab little campsite. The facilities block is clean and tidy . Showers are really hot but you need a 20p coin to work them. The club house is great for a few drinks but it is a little bit rowdy on an evening playing music until late. The barmaid was very friendly and runs herself ragged to ensure everyone has what they need. She is a real asset. Most of the people using the club house are owners who stay on the site most of the time. The reviews say they do food on site but they don't. Maybe its seasonal as they did have a board with a breakfast menu on it but no actual food. They offered us a pizza menu and advised us that we can order for delivery and eat in the club house if we wanted to. Our pitch was next to the gravel road through the site and was very busy and noisy all night with owners coming and going in cars. A very nice man collected out rubbish bag and disposed of it for us on the morning we left. The campsite is in woodland but you can walk to the main road about 15 mins away to catch a bus to Scarborough .

Disliked Food to buy on site would be nice and maybe tone the noise down a bit after 10 pm.

Liked Everything was great about this site. Our pitch was large and flat but I did notice some people had ramps out so maybe not all pitches are flat . It was impeccably clean and tidy with immaculate toilets / showers . The staff were very welcoming. The bar had a lovely atmosphere and the food was very tasty and reasonably priced. The water taxi was a fab experience and the driver was very knowledgeable about the sights along the way . All in all a very nice place to be . We loved it and we will be back soon .

Disliked If I have to dislike anything it was the toilet rolls in the ladies . The very nice attendant squished 2 rolls in the same dispenser every day on top of each other . This makes it very difficult to turn when you need to use it . I couldn’t get any out and had to take my own . Not a major issue more of an annoying peeve . Maybe he was making sure we had plenty 😀

Liked A lovely warm welcome awaits at beech tree park . Lovely staff and a lovely setting around fishing lakes . Plenty of ducks on the lake that just wander around the site. Clean toilets / shower blocks and an onsite bar selling a small range of drinks . Food can be purchased I believe but there was only sandwiches available when we went .

Disliked Duck poo everywhere. You couldn’t step on the grass without stepping in it. With a lake you also get midges flying all over, they wouldn’t leave me alone. Our pitch was very large but unfortunately it had rubbish along the back of it in the form of an old battery and a broken tent . When we came to check out we were locked in the site and had to wait over half a hour as the lady who operated the gate had gone for petrol in her car . Not good when people want to leave . She did however apologise for this and vowed to make it up to up with free drinks if we ever return .

We are sorry to hear of your experience but thank you again for taking the time to bring these issues to our attention. Unfortunately we cannot do much about the duck poo and the midges - we will be cleaning the paths on a more regular basis during peak times. The park is under new management and the team are still finding their feet. The next few weeks will see a period of transition for the park including a full make over of the estate.
