Winscombe, Somerset, England
Non-electric grass and earth tent or motorhome pitch (maximum 6 metres, sloping)
Liked Fantastic panoramic views towards South Wales.
Wide, open space with plenty of options to pitch.
Great pub within a 10 minute walk.
Disliked It’s been said by many reviewers on here but the portaloos are undesirable. Hopefully the owners will install permanent toilets soon, preferably compost loos, and a nice solar shower block?! It would definitely make us return.

From the manager: Thank you for your wonderful review and feedback. The toilets are definitely something which is constantly on our radar but we really want to keep our prices low, so we are weighing up the pros and cons.
Redruth, Cornwall, England
Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked Above all, we loved the serenity. It was very easy to kick back and relax in this quiet copse.
The abundance of trees offered shade for us and our hot dog on the hottest week of the year.
The flat grass was ideal to park up on. The wildlife was epic with plenty of birds and butterflies. Even spotted a pair of poplar hawk moths mid-mating, plus a barn owl and a fox!
The cafe provided fantastic food and drink.
The lovely, unassuming owners were just perfect. We have camped in places with lots of signage and rules and it’s such a turnoff. Elm Farm has nailed it!
The eco-conscious ethos was a win, with fantastic compost toilets and probably the best showers we’ve ever used at a campsite.
We hope to visit again!
