Disliked Sloping grass site unsuitable for motor home even with levellers could still not get level. If I had been prepared to pay an extra £10 a night for electric I didn't want would have been able to have a hard standing level pitch. The difference is far too much when I carry mains power on board and dont need their electric

From the manager: Hi Geof. It's always disappointing for us when guests do not have the stay they hoped for. In this particular instance we had numerous other non-electric pitches that you could have moved to that would have been better for you, and would not have involved the uplift to hook up. You merely had to ask. As you booked through Pitchup to take advantage of the discount running there, you were subject to arbitrary pitch allocation. Nonetheless, we would have moved you had you asked. Unfortunately, as is sometimes the case, it seems Horam is not the park for everyone. However, we thank you for the review. We value them all. Liked Site well set out, spacious, lovely views. Quiet. Cater for reasonable numbers of caravans, motor homes and tents to enable it to still feel small enough to feel private. Facilities excellent. Perfect for a quiet stay with relative privacy. Toilets, showers all spotless and in excellent condition. Motorhome waste facility well thought out which is rare to see. This site had been well thought out and designed with care and is superbly maintained and all at a respectable price. This is the nicest site I have visited and will be my first choice again when visiting the Forest of Dean area
