Liked Toilets and showers were kept clean regularly. Flat pitches and site was nice to walk around, some funky looking kunekune? pigs

Disliked I didn't like that we pay for electric pitches and then pay for electric once we're there on the metpow app. It would make sense to have a flat rate of pitch plus the pay as you go electric. Don't expect any grills out of season. First week kids are back at school and nothing on.

From the manager: Hi Sarah, Please thank Jamie for returning my call yesterday and for your kind comments about the site and our facilities — and yes, they are indeed our rather characterful Kunekune pigs! As I explained, we’ve been transitioning our electric pitches to the Metpow pay-as-you-go system field by field. Unfortunately, your stay coincided with the final phase of that changeover, which meant you had paid the £6 electric starter charge when you originally booked under our old system, and then paid for the electricity you actually used through Metpow. That certainly wasn’t our intention and, as promised, I’ve refunded the £6 to your card. Going forward, guests using Metpow pitches will simply pay for the electricity they actually use. Regarding food and entertainment, your stay was midweek just after the schools returned, when we had only 46 people staying with us. Typically only around 20% of guests use our food provision, so unfortunately the numbers simply aren’t sufficient to make weekday catering viable at this time of year. By contrast, this Friday and Saturday we have more than 350 people on site enjoying live music, street food and The Crown Jules — our bar and cocktail bus — for the final time this season as we move out of the summer period. I hope our explanation and the prompt refund of the additional £6.00 helps clarify what happened. Liked The site was lovely, plenty of flat ground for tent pitches. Nice to have horses and farm animals around us.

Disliked Only issue was the long walk to the toilet block in the night
