2 bedroom static caravan (six person)
Liked The size of the site is good and the reception staff spoke good English and were friendly. It does have free washing and drying facilities and the WiFi was a bonus.
Disliked Would never stay again! We stayed in a Mobil home - pitch 7,. Inside it was so basic - but dirty! We didn’t even use any of the cutlery provided and instead used our own. We boiled a pan of water for a cup of tea and the water had a scum on the top. Both bedrooms stank and the bunk bed room definitely had a dint in the floor which could have been a hole under the Lino. The bathroom sink was old and had cigarette burns on the sink and toilet. It had mould and mildew on the outside! The shower block and toilets were far better than the caravan facilities. We were happy to leave after two days. Everything needed washing before using and that’s should not be how it is for the money - disgusting! The swimming pool is not part of the site it is a council pool next door which you get vouchers for - some vouchers! Nothing in the area very dull!

Bell tent
Liked We arrived at the campsite and we were greeted by Sarah. We were at ease straight away when she was English! She showed us the campsite and we were amazed at the facilities and size of the site. The tents were beautiful and decorated with lights and a chair and clothing hangers. We were shown the individual bathrooms, each tent has its own room so toiletries could be kept in there, what a genius idea!!!! We loved the ‘vibe’ and the children enjoyed the freedom of playing pool, badminton, bowles or football. The facilities for cooking were great with lots of pans and utensils provided. We had an amazing nights sleep on very comfortable mattresses and the evenings were lovely star gazing from the tent. There is a wood fired hot tub but unfortunately we couldn’t use it due to the weather but another lovely touch! The children really enjoyed spending time with the owners and I am sure they thought they had gained an extra Uncle in Kez. When we said the boys loved animals he went out of his way to show them how to fish and although we were rained off we loved the opportunity! We enjoyed seeing the kingfishers and herons and the only regret we have is not staying longer! There was a bar, which we hadn’t realised! and lots of seating to be able to relax and still see the children. Nothing was too much hassle and we enjoyed listening to the story of how the site has developed. It was a lovely stay and we would definitely love to return - thank you for being so welcoming and friendly hosts.

From the manager: Thank you so much for an absolutely amazing review that was clearly written from the heart. It means so much to us both. A truly lovely family and as guest, you will be hard to top. The children were an absolute credit to you and a pleasure to spend time with. I am considering having an 'Uncle Kez' name badge made up. That did tickle me!!! Thank you for being such great guest and we will hopefully see you again in the future. Thank you again . Sara and Kez
