Good site
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Nice tidy site, well laid out, the new shower block is very good.
Disliked The road noise in the tent field was a little disappointing but nothing terrible

From the manager: Thank you for the kind review — we're really pleased you enjoyed the site and that the new shower block impressed!
We appreciate the honest feedback about the road noise in the tent field. It can be more noticeable in that area and we understand it's not ideal, though we're glad it wasn't too much of an issue. We'd always encourage guests to mention any preferences on arrival and we'll do our best to find the most suitable pitch available.
We hope to welcome you back again soon!

Would consider staying again but only if we could pick our pitch
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Lovely site, shower and toilet facilities were spotless, well positioned location for where we wanted to visit to Wales
Disliked Our pitch had no privacy as it was in the middle of a small field which was lined with electrical hook ups. There was some more private pitches on site which would have been a lot nicer to stay at. Our pitch was also on a slight incline which meant my 3 year old kept tripping over and we couldn't put anything on any tables in the tent as they would slide off, we had to prop our cooker up on the one side so that it was flat. Not sure if there was meant to be a noise curfew however several other pitches were up until gone 12am every night (we stayed for 3 nights) who had clearly been drinking and were either shouting or laughing very loudly. If there is a noise curfew then staff should be more present to enforce that. There needs to be more bins. The only main bins for rubbish were the big industrial ones by reception, those bins in my opinion should be dotted around the campsite

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback — we're really pleased you enjoyed the facilities and found the location well suited for exploring Wales.
We apologise that your pitch didn't meet your expectations in terms of privacy and level ground. We do have a range of pitches available across the site, and we'd always encourage guests to mention any preferences at the time of booking or on arrival so we can do our best to find a more suitable spot, particularly for families with young children.
We take your comments about noise very seriously. We do have a quiet hours policy in place and had our wardens been made aware of any issues, they would have addressed them .
Your feedback about the bins is also noted. Our refuse and recycling area are kept away from pitches, as we feel that our guests would not want to be located near them.
I would definitely go back
Primitive grass campsite
Liked It's pretty amazing, nice location, amazing views, plenty of space, WIFI!!!
Disliked Water points were not labeled, not sure if it was drinking water or not. Not a big deal, just a bit of feedback
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thank you for your review. I'm pleased that you enjoyed the views.
All the taps are for drinking water, we just label the ones that aren't (chemical disposal points).
I hope that this makes it easier for your next visit.
Feel price should be around the £20 per night range
Primitive grass campsite
Liked The toilet and shower facilities were excellent. The non electric tent field was clean and tidy.
Disliked The non electric tent field is at the front of the camp site next to the road so traffic noise can ve a little bit to lound if the trafgic is heavy and you dont get the view of any of the mountaibs in the background like the caravan parts do

From the manager: Thank you for the review — we're really pleased you found the facilities excellent and the tent field clean and tidy throughout your stay.
We appreciate your honest feedback about the road noise and the views from the non-electric tent field. You make a fair point, and we'd always encourage guests to speak with us on arrival as we'll do our best to find the most suitable pitch depending on availability. It's something we'll also keep in mind as we continue to develop the site.
We hope to welcome you back again soon!

Perfect family camping trip
FHU grass tent campsite
Liked This was our second camping trip here this year and once again, we absolutely LOVED it! Our pitch was perfect and just what we needed - we love the privacy from the hedges and the little alley ways through the pitches which our daughter loved exploring ☺️ Facilities were impeccably clean at all times and the games area was also thoroughly enjoyed by our daughter. All in all, a gem of a site and we’re already looking forward to returning ❤️

From the manager: Thank you so much — twice in one year, we absolutely love that!
We're thrilled you loved it just as much second time around, and it's so lovely to hear your daughter enjoyed exploring the site. We're also pleased the games area was a hit again!
A gem of a site — we couldn't ask for a better compliment. We can't wait to welcome you all back again
