From the manager: We're happy that you found the park very quiet and really clean. Hope to see you again soon.
Clean and tidy site good location.
Powered grass campsite
Liked Clean and tidy site. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Disliked Noise from the road in the camping field is annoying and could be solved with acoustic fencing. Some large groups of campers up very late and are noisy in the evenings. None of these problems are directly linked to the site and are my opinion only.

From the manager: I'm pleased that you found the site clean and tidy, but sorry that others disturbed your stay. Had you told a member of staff, we would have been able to address the problem.
Overall we enjoyed our time just me and my son.
FHU grass tent campsite
Liked We booked sun-wed and paid a bit extra for the fully serviced grass pitch, I was hoping our pitch was going to be more secluded and private, we had pitch 53 and when we arrived there was a big tent on 52 right behind us which I felt was to close, they left the next day but if they didn't it would of been even less private than I'd hoped, also our pitch 53 is the on walk way out to where cars are parked so there us constant campers walking past to their tents/cars and to the hut which made it feel less private, kids running around also,so if you want more privacy 50, 54, 55 looked like they had there own entrance so no footfall from others, so these looked better.
We did ask if we could move to the more private one (50 ) which was empty when we arrived which I dont think the request was welcomed very well having heard a conversation I wasn't meant to hear but I was eventually told it was already booked for campers arriving on another day, this plot didn't look big enough in my opinion for children to run around in once a family size tent was up, hence them running around our plot area which had more space, just a observation from me on where we were.
There are cameras around some plots right on top of some camping spots but if that doesn't bother you then the extra security is good. Also coded access the campsite.
It can't be helped but the ground was very difficult to put pegs into on our pitch (53).
We walked around the site it all looked well kept, pot wash area was clean also. No bins around the campsite just big industrial bins near reception to drop off rubbish/recycling.
Toilets and showers were immaculate so if that is worth the extra money to campers these were nice. Well lit up for the night also.
I paid £171 for 3 nights which is a lot more than I usually pay as we camp a lot, only downside was wanting more privacy hence mentioning it and where looked more secluded to help other campers who if are like me and my son prefer other campers not passing by quite as often.
It was close to Cearnafon just 10 minutes and most places we visited were within 30 minutes drive we went to visit the castles.
Dog field available for dogs to run around freely which our dogs didn't join us on this trip. Non electric field was very close to the road, just a hedge seperating it,so if that would bother you maybe paying the extra for the electric field which was further away from the road and a lot nearer the toilets and showers.
We didn't see the owners at any point, apart from check in, maybe a one off little visit once set up would be nice to see if everything was ok, which I understand most people might not want (if you wanted anything you could maybe call or go to reception to them) but everywhere I've stayed previously the owners will pop by and check which I felt was nice touch.
On the review...Would I recommend to a friend I put no just because of the price I wouldn't usually pay per night.
Would I go back, again I put no because I feel there would be other options for less money but just as nice if you wanted it, but that is my personal opinion.
Disliked The privacy of plot 53 so if you want more privacy then look at plots 50, 54, 55.

Very clean and well maintained just nothing special
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Very clean, well maintained, everything looked new and well cared for. Felt very safe, lovely Mountain View’s. Great to be allowed fires. Obviously cared for.
Disliked There was no shop, would have been really useful to be able to get small bits without having to drive out. Staff were friendly but also you felt like they were watching you and they instantly questioned you if you went the wrong way exploring. The paths and roads to find your pitch were super confusing… a one way system with clear arrows would work much better. It just missed a magic spark for us, we wanted something like a little shop or pizza stall or somewhere to grab camping essentials. Never found the ball game stuff as we got told off for exploring.

From the manager: Thank you for the honest and detailed review — we're really pleased you found the site clean, well maintained and felt safe throughout your stay, and that you enjoyed the mountain views and the fires!
We appreciate all your feedback. A one way system is not possible as there is only one road in and out of the field.
We do not advertise that we have a shop and encourage our guests to support the community shop in the village.
We're sorry if you felt overly monitored during your stay — We do not allow our guests in our maintenance yard for safety reasons. The games area is something we're proud of and we'd love for you to have found it — our team are always happy to point guests in the right direction. The location was also shown on the map that you were given upon arrival.

FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Great location with friendly, helpful staff. Clean, modern, well kept facilities. Great views. Easy access from main roads. Perfect for our stay. Would definitely stay again. I've marked down a little for value for money, but purely because I had to book through pitchup.com. I would have booked directly through the campsite website but it showed no availability. I'd like to thank everyone there, we had a great stay.

From the manager: Thank you so much for the lovely review and for your kind words — we're really pleased you had a great stay and would return!
It's great to hear the location, facilities, views and team all made such a positive impression. We do prefer our guests to book direct. Also booking over the phone would enable the single occupancy discount.
We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

Liked Facilities are fine
Disliked False advertising for the fully services grass tent pitches. They say “
Min 12m width × 12m depth”…. Only 2 out 5 would qualify for that size. The other 3 are much smaller. Our 4 person tent barely fit in the allocated space. And also they are not advising on the website that you can’t bring the car in to even unload.
Not going back there.

From the manager: Wow 1/10. Thank you for pointing out that the min pitch size was incorrect on the Pitchup listing. The sizes were mistakenly copied over from the Grass with Electric pitch type, which are very large indeed. The Pitchup listing now has the correct dimensions for this type of pitch. Cars are kept away from the pitches in order maintain a peaceful atmosphere. The parking is only 10- 30 meters away (depending on the pitch allocated). This information has also been included on the Pitchup listing.
Campsite is nice and looked after minus road traffic
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Nice toilets and shower, big pitch , game room amazing for my teen
Disliked Non electric pitch is way too close to the main busy road, instead of birds we could hear cars all night long and it was noisy enough to wake me up few times
That’s arguing with the idea of relax in nature.
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and we're glad your teen enjoyed the games room and that the facilities and pitch size impressed!
We're sorry to hear the road noise disrupted your sleep on the non-electric pitch. We completely understand how frustrating that must have been, especially when you're looking to switch off and enjoy the peace of the countryside. The proximity of the road to that particular area of the site is something we're aware of, and we'd always encourage guests to mention any preferences at the time of booking or on arrival so we can try to find the most suitable pitch. An electric pitch or one of our more sheltered spots further from the road may suit you better on a future visit.
We hope you'll give us another chance to show you what we can do!
Well kept site with clean facilities and god sized level pitches.
