A aimé The pitch we booked was still occupied when we arrived (hardstanding) when I mentioned that id actually meant to click grass pitch, they immediately found us a grass pitch and gave us levellers incase we needed them.

The people in the seasonal caravans on the plot by the toilets (that we were told by a seasonal caravan owner is known as 'gods waiting room') were all lovely and welcoming (and funny!)

Toilet and showers were always clean.

My 13year old loved the games, hes learned how to play pool, and hasn't stopped talking about it!

**Sneaky tip Just Eat deliver a couple of places to the campsite, 'bella house' pizza is nice 😂**

A aimé This is a great site, tucked away in Bethel. Lovely big pitches, we were in the camper so didn't really need an electric pitch, we were only there for one night.
We had the Doggo with us and there is a lovely walk (on a lead) round the grounds, but there is also a gated and fenced field that your Doggo can have a run a round and play. It's very well kept, the hosts are also very friendly and welcoming, the whole site is clean and tidy.

A aimé Spacious plot, got to pick which one we wanted.

The facilities are clean and the shower is powerful.

Quiet site and good location, not that far from Llanberis or Bangor. Would reccomend a burger place in Bangor called Dinos burgers or pizza place called woodfired shack.

Eryri (Snowdonia) and Ynys Môn (Anglesey) on the doorstep is hard to beat, and we're glad the facilities were clean and tidy throughout your stay. We hope to welcome you back on your next visit to Wales!

A aimé We booked a single night (tent - electric pitch) here but ended up staying an extra night because, well its brilliant! We received a warm welcome and the site is really well maintained. It was a bank holiday weekend but we still had a choice of pitches (not always an option of course) and there was plenty to choose from. Pitches are spacious and typically back onto trees/hedgerows which gives some shelter from the wind. Wifi was excellent and the toilet/showers were some of the cleanest I have seen.

The staff are friendly and many of the caravan regulars were also welcoming.

Fire pits appear to be available to hire but I wasn't aware of this until the end (I may have missed it when booking) but we had our own fire, just need to ensure its off the ground.

The site is also in a great location for visiting some of the tourist spots and there is a supermarket/ petrol station a short drive away.

Overall it's a great site that accommodates tents/campers and I would recommend - we will certainly return, thanks.

N'a pas aimé The only slight issue I had is that dogs need to be on leads at all times. I can completely understand why this rule is in place but it's just unfortunate as even with a friendly Labrador and lots of space, it not possible to even play with a ball while at the tent. There are several fields/walks nearby so it's certainly not a complaint, it's just a shame as these rules have to be enforced on everyone.

We ask all dogs to be kept on a lead for the safety and pleasurable experience for all our guests. I’m sorry that our dog exercising field by the entrance, where you can let your dog off the lead, was not pointed out to you. The gate was only installed last week, so we haven’t yet put up any signs.
I’m sure you and your dog will enjoy the exercising field the next time you come to Rhyd y Galen.

Wardens were so helpful, we were waiting for the bus to visit the castle , one of the wardens seen us and dropped us off right outside it. Lovely peaceful site and managed to navigate all, only second time out in the van , still very new to it all, felt confident in asking advice to
