What customers say
Great views, quiet, no-frills camping popular with hikers. Clean facilities, though water pressure/hot water can be spotty during peak times. Spacious sites, friendly staff. Exposed, so it can be breezy. Pack out your trash.

Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked peaceful, friendly campsite neighbouring a sheep’s grazing field and overlooking the sea/south downs. good walking options off telescombe tye, running down to the cliffs and the pubs.
15 minute walk from a tesco express and bus stop into brighton also a plus.
good, clean facilities - toilets, showers, washing up station, drinking water. says poor water pressure but i was pleasantly surprised.
level enough ground and decent size pitches (on the smaller side)
nice to have “quiet hours” from 9pm and no cars from 12am
friendly and helpful couple manning the site! comforting to have them staying on site
Disliked only one sink for washing up, and i do tend to prefer sites that don’t allow parking on the pitch

Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Lovely remote feeling site, friendly staff, facilities were always clean and stunning views to wake up to! Was it a tad windy? Yes. Were the facilities a little basic? Also yes but this is made very clear when booking. Loved the simplicity of this trip, look forward to booking again!

would definitely return as I have before ;)
Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked The Organic breakfast delivered was lovely . One of our cars wouldn’t start and the owners were very helpful until we got it sorted
the views are wonderful and the walks to the beach are great
Disliked miserable complaining people - 2 bikers sleeping next to us asked us to keep the music down as they were trying to sleep ! the music was on low but we were a 9 person group in total so a little noise expected with 4 kids under 16 . This was at 10pm also when we had recently just returned from the beach and set up our campfire 🔥 . Maybe big groups of people need to be situated away from quiet couples ?

From the manager: thank you for your feedback.
the campers do enjoy the views of the Downs and the Sea.
please note that many campers do actually come here because we have a no music/noise policy after 9pm.
we even state on our website - no large groups because of the problems that large groups usually present, eg not abiding by site rules.
when you book on our site you are actually agreeing to abide by our site rules, i assume that you didn't read our site rules as you have stated that you had music on at 10pm.
if you do return we do expect you to abide by the site rules, or maybe you need to consider whether this site is for you.

Liked The area is clean, beautiful and relaxing. People are friendly, nice place for old fashion camping.
Disliked Taking back the rubbish, but I do understand why.

From the manager: thank you for your feedback.
Disposing of commercial waste is very expensive for us, as we are a small campsite, if we provided bins then the pitch costs for campers would be considerably higher which is why many other campsites are so much more expensive.
we have all got bins at home.
many thanks
