Positiv Adequate space for car and gazebo. Not bothered by staff.

Told us to keep noise strictly to a minimum, but didn't mention loud music from two pubs either side of the fields. So loud you can hear the words.
The ground was appalling for camping, 4cm down it's layered with bricks. You can't get tent pegs in. It broke every peg we brought.
No place to put your rubbish or recycling.
Farm was small and disappointing.
Very close to air port so expect low flying planes noisy throughout the night.

We’re sorry to hear that some aspects of the site were not what you expected. We do monitor our inbox daily and unfortunately cannot find any emails received from you, though we appreciate this may have been frustrating at the time.

We are also sorry to hear that the music disturbed your stay. The music you could hear was coming from an off-site venue in the village rather than from our campsite itself.

We are really sorry to hear you were so disturbed by planes going overhead. They don’t come over all the time, but do pass overhead when the wind is coming from the west. As we are around 20 miles from Luton Airport they are normally not too loud, although they can be heard more on still days.

Regarding the ground conditions, some areas of the field can naturally be firmer than others depending on weather conditions and pitch location, although we are sorry to hear this caused difficulties with your tent pegs during your stay.

We do appreciate all feedback and will take your comments on board as we continue to improve the experience for our guests.

Positiv were flexible to allow us to camp near our friends who were in a hut not a tent pitch

Negativ the website is not clear that you get free access to the farm if you camp there so we spent a lot of money on unnecessary tickets. Under the Luton flightpath so can be a bit noisy with planes at night.

Positiv Beautiful woodland setting; free unlimited access to the farm; an orchard, herb garden and tunnels of growing fruit and veg to explore; pub right next door; on-site crafts sessions and beauty treatments available; small essentials/gift shop, and a cafe. All staff were super friendly and helpful. I made my own candles at the House of Craft and Calm on-site and the lady running it was super lovely. Prices very reasonable considering the beautiful location.

Negativ The outdoor shower hut was surprisingly not too cold, however the water was so hot that it damaged my skin and scalp and due to the temp I wasn't able to actually stand under the stream, just basically splash myself.
Access to the farm was great, however you weren't allowed to pet any of the animals and often couldn't get nice photos of them either due to the electric fences getting in the way. Couldn't hand-feed them either, just drop food in a tube to slide down into a trough.
I found the map I was given to be a little confusing.
The pub was very close-by but never seemed to be open whenever I walked past, despite the opening hours on Google stating they should have been open.

I’m sorry to hear that a few aspects didn’t meet expectations. Regarding the outdoor showers, we do aim to maintain a comfortable temperature, but they can occasionally fluctuate. Our team are always happy to assist if this happens, and we also have indoor showers available on the main site for a more consistent experience. Sorry for any inconvenience caused during your stay.

In terms of the farm, we completely understand your comments. For health and safety reasons, we don’t allow petting or hand-feeding of the animals. The fencing is in place to protect the animals (for example from wildlife such as foxes), and we’ve added bunting to make the boundaries more visible while still allowing guests to view them safely.

With regards to the pub, we’re sorry for the inconvenience caused. It should have been open in line with its advertised hours, so we will be looking into this with them directly.

Positiv Great campsite with lots of activities for children. Camped in the woods which was full of birds so excellent to wake up to their singing. Amenities are plentiful and staff welcoming
