喜欢 Nice little farm shop, and decent beer in the farm-run pub. Compost toilets were plentiful, clean and well stocked with loo roll and sawdust. Lots of space to pitch my tent. Friendly welcome and I was given a little handbook. The farm has very good signage throughout.

不喜欢 The noise from the planes landing at Luton airport was near constant, as they fly over the farm to line up on their final approach. There's also lots of general noise from families and children as the sound travels very easily around the different camping fields. There is an option of a 'quiet' field at the bottom of the farm. I didn't go there so I don't know how much quieter it would have been. The ground was rock hard, which cost me a few of my pegs and left all but one only an inch or so deep - fortunately it wasn't windy. Despite the no open fire policy, there's clear evidence that lots of fires have been laid on the ground, including during my stay. A bit concerning given the length of the current dry spell. Didn't like having to wear a wrist band. I took it off as soon as I realised there was no point to it.

Just to clarify a few points for future visitors: while we're near Luton Airport, we're not always under the flight path, so aircraft noise varies depending on wind direction and operating conditions. As a family-friendly campsite, there will naturally be some noise during busier periods, but we also offer a quieter camping field for those looking for a more peaceful stay.
We do allow campfires and operate a safe fire policy, which is explained on arrival and includes a few simple precautions, especially during dry weather. When the ground is particularly hard, we also recommend bringing heavy-duty tent pegs.
Our wristbands simply help us identify guests staying on site, allowing us to keep the campsite safe and secure for everyone.

喜欢 Amount of space to camp. Good facilities. Animals were great and well looked after. Lovely piglets.

喜欢 Brilliant site within 1h25 drive from London. Lovely having it as a working farm too with lots of animals and things to explore. Being allowed to have real fires was our number one prerequisite too. Loved it, we’ll be back

不喜欢 Only slight negative was being on the flight path so some noisy planes overhead in the night

We're really sorry to hear you were disturbed by the planes overhead. They don't fly over us all the time, but when the wind is coming from the west, aircraft approaching Luton Airport can pass overhead. As we're around 20 miles from the airport, they're not usually too loud, but on a still day the noise can carry more than usual.

喜欢 The woodland pitches are lovely, lots of space and you can easily feel you are in a larger woods. Facilities are good, staff are more than friendly.

不喜欢 We chose a pitch at the end of the woods, which meant a longer walk to the toilet than we'd have liked. We knew that though, when we pitched.

We're sorry to hear that aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. Our cabins are advertised as rustic accommodation, offering a simple countryside experience rather than modern luxury, and we always aim to ensure guests know what to expect before they arrive.

We're also disappointed to hear your comments regarding the cleanliness of the facilities. Our shower and toilet blocks are checked and monitored daily by our team. In addition, there is a contact number displayed in the facilities so that guests can report any issues they notice between inspections, allowing us to respond as quickly as possible. Had we been made aware during your stay, we would have done our best to resolve the issue straight away.

喜欢 Loved everything about it. Loads for families but also some quiet forest spots.
Lovely little cafe, shop and pub. The working farm is a beautiful little extra.

不喜欢 Compost loos filled up quickly, possibly need emptying more often on a busy weekend.
