From the manager: Hi, thank you for your review. We’re really pleased to hear you found the site clean, our team friendly and enjoyed your pitch.
We’re sorry to hear you were disturbed by noise from other groups during your stay. We ask all campers to be considerate of others, with no amplified music permitted and quiet voices requested after 10pm. Our security team also patrols the campsite throughout the night, and we encourage guests to call the security number provided if they experience any issues so the team can come over and help at the time.
Thank you for your feedback and we hope to welcome you back.
Lovely set up.
Unpowered forest floor tent site (woodland)
Liked Loved the camping set up, being able to walk around the farm, see the animals etc. We had a woodland pitch and would definitely do that again.
Plenty of access to water and loo's (compost loo's).
The shop was really well stocked if you forgot anything and the cafe was also great. There was also a mobile golf buggy shop that went round which was fun and a great chance to grab an impromptu ice cream or more logs!
I really like that it is a not for profit business and all of the staff seemed genuinely happy in their jobs and were polite and really helpful.
Lots of likes, no dislikes. My kids have said that we have to camp there again next year!

From the manager: Hi Poppy,
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review. We’re delighted you enjoyed your woodland camping stay and being able to explore the farm and see the animals. It’s also great to hear you made good use of the farm shop, café and our mobile golf buggy shop.
As a Community Interest Company, it means a lot to hear such kind comments about our team and what we do here at the farm. We’ll be sure to pass your feedback on to everyone.
We’re especially pleased to hear the kids have asked to come camping with us again. We look forward to welcoming you all back.

Liked friendly staff. There is plenty of space to pitch a tent and park your car. There is also a lot of land for walking and exploring. There is a farm nearby where you can see llamas, pigs, cows and goats. It’s a great place to spend time with children.
Disliked The only downsides are the planes flying overhead throughout the day and night, and the small shop, which isn’t very well stocked.

From the manager: Hi, thank you for your review. We’re really pleased to hear you found our team friendly and enjoyed the space, exploring the farm and visiting the animals with your children.
We’re very surprised to hear your comments about the Farm Shop, as we’ve had lots of lovely feedback about how well stocked it is and have made sure to keep a good range of camping essentials available throughout the summer. However, we’re always looking at ways we can improve, so if there was anything in particular you felt was missing, please do let us know.
We’re also really sorry to hear you were so disturbed by the planes. They don’t fly over us all the time, but when the wind is coming from the west, the flight path can bring aircraft over the area. Being around 20 miles from Luton Airport, they’re normally not too loud, although we appreciate they can be more noticeable on a still day.
Thank you again for your feedback, and we’re glad that overall you enjoyed your time at the farm. We do hope we can welcome you back.

From the manager: Hi, thank you for your review. We’re pleased to hear you enjoyed the variety of places to explore and the food during your stay.
We’re sorry to hear you found the facilities a little far away. There are compost toilets and gas-heated showers within our camping areas, including facilities just outside the woods. Our main toilet and shower block is located at the main farm site, which can be around a 5–10 minute walk depending on where you are camping. Guests are also able to drive to their camping area and park their car next to their tent for the duration of their stay.
We appreciate your feedback and hope you otherwise enjoyed your woodland camping experience with us.

Liked Super friendly and good facilities.
Disliked So, the pub isn't open on Tuesday, not sure about the other days. So if your on a bike like I was and want a pint and food after a 65 mile day plan ahead or call to find out the hours because I didn't see them listed. It worked out, I survived without and had peanut butter, Jelly and 2 eggs.

We’re glad you still enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you back to the farm.

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Nice little farm shop, and decent beer in the farm-run pub. Compost toilets were plentiful, clean and well stocked with loo roll and sawdust. Lots of space to pitch my tent. Friendly welcome and I was given a little handbook. The farm has very good signage throughout.
Disliked The noise from the planes landing at Luton airport was near constant, as they fly over the farm to line up on their final approach. There's also lots of general noise from families and children as the sound travels very easily around the different camping fields. There is an option of a 'quiet' field at the bottom of the farm. I didn't go there so I don't know how much quieter it would have been. The ground was rock hard, which cost me a few of my pegs and left all but one only an inch or so deep - fortunately it wasn't windy. Despite the no open fire policy, there's clear evidence that lots of fires have been laid on the ground, including during my stay. A bit concerning given the length of the current dry spell. Didn't like having to wear a wrist band. I took it off as soon as I realised there was no point to it.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're really pleased you enjoyed the farm shop, our pub, the cleanliness of our compost toilets, the spacious pitches, and that you found the team welcoming.
Just to clarify a few points for future visitors: while we're near Luton Airport, we're not always under the flight path, so aircraft noise varies depending on wind direction and operating conditions. As a family-friendly campsite, there will naturally be some noise during busier periods, but we also offer a quieter camping field for those looking for a more peaceful stay.
We do allow campfires and operate a safe fire policy, which is explained on arrival and includes a few simple precautions, especially during dry weather. When the ground is particularly hard, we also recommend bringing heavy-duty tent pegs.
Our wristbands simply help us identify guests staying on site, allowing us to keep the campsite safe and secure for everyone.
Thank you again for your feedback. We really appreciate it and hope these clarifications help give future guests a better idea of what to expect.
