Hidden Lake Safari Ranch & RV Park is in a wildlife haven in Jacksboro, Texas, in an excellent setting for adventuring and getting out into the outdoors.

Guests can fish in the 20-acre fishing lake, stocked with bass, catfish, perch and more (no license required) or book a guided wildlife tour in reception (extra charges apply). Even though the site is conveniently located near shops, restaurants and local entertainment venues, there are many friendly deer and a variety of other wildlife roaming the park.

Facilities include a playground, a laundry room with a full bathroom, and a small meeting area with board games and a TV for video games. Volleyball and tetherball are also available.

Free wifi is also available and there's a country shop where you can buy essentials.

Local attractions

The park is located five miles outside Jacksboro, where there are several attractions to visit as well as bars, shopping malls, and restaurants with all local specialties.

Explore the Fort Richardson Historic State Park, originally the largest fort in the nation and a key post in the struggle between Anglo settlers and Native Americans, mainly Kiowa and Comanche from 1871 to 1874. The Fort will offer you a glimpse into the past of Texas, and it also includes annual events such as the Battle for Fort Richardson, a civil war re-enactment that takes place in November.

Visit the Jack County Museum, housed in one of the oldest houses in Jack County, to see numerous artifacts related to early life in the area, as well as a vast collection of military exhibits, 4-H memorabilia, Jacksboro High School mementos, along with genealogical records.

If you are visiting in June/July, don't miss the Jacksboro TNT Fest at Jacksboro Lake in Jacksboro, a traditional festival held on the Saturday before July 4th with good food, great music and fireworks.

If you need to cancel or amend your booking, please give as much notice as possible so that someone else has the chance to book. You may wish to buy holiday insurance for cancellations and for your property/injury whilst away.

Terms and conditions

Please read the park terms and conditions below and the terms and conditions.

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures
Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday
Bookings cannot be amended within 2 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.

Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 10pm and 8am.
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Hired accommodation
Your unit must be left clean and tidy, a fine of $20 will be charged for unclean units upon departure.

Units should not be left unoccupied unless previously agreed with the management. Please speak to reception when the need arises, a fee may be charged for unsupervised units.

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.

Visitors must leave the premises by 11pm.
Visitors must register at reception and pay their fee.
