With a chilled family-friendly vibe, WeCamp Santa Cristina sits in a Mediterranean forest surrounded by tall pines and cork oaks. Despite its peaceful setting, this no-frills site is surprisingly close to the action; should you have had enough of lazing by the pool, you could be on a Costa Brava beach in less than 10 minutes. Your downtime on site will most likely revolve around that swimming pool and sun deck, but there’s also a playground to keep the kids entertained, and if you want to get out and about locally, you can hire mountain bikes from reception and head for the Catalan hills. Other facilities include wifi, shower blocks and a launderette. Inland, there are several golf courses close to the hilltop village of Santa Cristina d’Aro. Back down on the coast, there are watersports centres galore for surfing lessons or jet ski hire, and you can take sailing lessons from Platja d’Aro beach. After all that water-based activity, reward yourselves with a stroll down the promenade in Sant Feliu de Guíxols and settle down for a tapas lunch in a seafront bar. The site is nicely tucked away, but there are plenty of cafés and restaurants within a few minutes' drive. If you’d rather eat back at base, the best bet for food shopping is Palamós, where there are several large supermarkets.

Liked We arrived at Wecamp Santa Christina to a fantastic welcome by the staff on reception who couldn't do enough for us. Our pitch was perfect with electric hook up
The showers we brilliant lots of hot water,very clean.
The restaurant was very good all the staff we extremely pleasant and helpful.
Although we didn't use the on site pools they looked fantastic, clean bet well maintained too.
The site itself is very very good we would highly recommend it
For us we wished we had more time here but we had to got to the Barcelona grand Prix.
We shall definitely be back in the summer for an extended stay

Local attractions

Sun- and fun-filled days at the beach must be top of your list. You’re spoilt for choice on this corner of the Costa Brava, with watersports centres at Platja d’Aro beach (10 minutes’ drive) and kayaking excursions around the rocky coves at Canyerets (20 minutes). For a more relaxed ambience, try Vallpresona beach (20 minutes) or set yourselves up on sun loungers at Cala Cap Roig (15 minutes), within easy reach of the laidback beach bar. You should find that WeCamp Santa Cristina hits the spot for all the family, too. You can spend action-packed days on high-octane waterslides at Parque Aquàtic Aquadiver, or scramble along treetop rope trails at Everest Costa Brava (both 10 minutes). With enough padding pools and adrenaline rides to satisfy everybody, Water World (25 minutes) is just down the coast in Lloret de Mar.
