Not a thing will Mar a Spanish seaside holiday with a stay at royally good Camping Victoria, as it's in the handsome Mediterranean town of Canet de Mar, one of the many Mar towns on this stretch of coast. (See also – for starters – Pineda de Mar, Malgrat de Mar and Arenys de Mar for your Spanish seaside pleasure.)
Canet is on the Maresme Coast, with a long strip of beach in an area that beach buffs and sun seekers rightly flock to from the world over. It's edged by the Montnegre Corredor Natural Park (nature spotters and birdwatchers also flock here too) and has long lengths of trekking trails in its surrounding countryside and coast.
On site is an outdoor pool, a bar-restaurant with terrace overlooking it, a playground and a supermarket. The team organises kids' entertainment and activities during peak season.
Amenities at the site include a launderette, chemical disposal and recently renovated toilet/shower blocks.

From Barcelona take the Renfe train to Rodalies C1 (train towards Calella, Blanes or Maçanet).
Local attractions
Canet de Mar is known for its modernist architecture, art and sculptures as well as its beaches, so after some time on the sand, take the modernist trail through the town to see its best bits and the good-looking Lluís Domènech i Montaner House-Museum.
Camping Victoria is in Catalonia's Maresme region, the stretch of coast between Barcelona and the Costa Brava. All around it is the city of Tordera on the edge of the Montnegre and Corredor Natural Park; the Catalan Coastal Range; the Serralada de Marina Natural Park and many a Mediterranean beach for many a day out among beach, mountains, critters and hot summer days.
Got kids? Take them to splash along at Maresme waterpark Illa Fantasia or to whirl around the rides of PortAventura theme park, both near Barcelona. Then a day (or two) at the Catalonian capital is much (much) recommended, for sights and attractions such as its aquarium and zoo, many museums and splendid old cathedral.

Camping Victoria cancellation policy
Balance refunds: no penalties
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
If you need to cancel or amend your booking, please give as much notice as possible so that someone else has the chance to book. You may wish to buy holiday insurance for cancellations and for your property/injury whilst away.
Please note that your deposit is paid to Pitchup.com and is non-refundable.

A 15% non-refundable deposit is payable now.
The remainder is payable direct to Camping Victoria on arrival.
Hired accommodation: €150.00 (£134.47) damage/cleanliness/bracelet deposit is required on arrival and will be refunded on departure after inspection of your unit should no damage/losses be found.
Tax
Local city tax of €0.50 (£0.44) per person per night at least age 7 up to 16 nights is not included and must be paid on arrival.
