Till ringers and sand fans unite. The handsome big park of Camping El Far is a few minutes’ walk from a golden sandy beach and an easy half kilometre from Calella, a town so dedicated to shopping that it has over 500 stores and a two-kilometre long shopping road. (And Barcelona is under an hour away for more shopping – and museums – there too.)
Camping El Far is a hillside site on the Catalonian coast (countryside and sea settings = huzzah), and has a pool, snack bar, mini market and a restaurant to keep you contentedly occupied in and out of the water. Kayaking excursions, diving, zumba, bingo and many more activities are organised for guests by the site team.
Amenities are well looked after and include two toilet and shower blocks, a washing-up area and a launderette.
And if you’re sick of shopping? (Pffft.) A watersports centre is just outside the site and a wellness centre is 50 metres away, with discounts available for site guests.

The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.
The grocery shop is open between 29/04 and 03/10.
Entertainment and activities are available between 01/07 and 31/08.
The outdoor swimming pool is open between 25/04 and 03/10 (subject to weather conditions).
No cars/motorbikes by the pitch/unit. All cars must be parked in the designated area.
Protective masks must be worn at all times in common areas.
Reception is unmanned after 6 p.m.. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.
Pup tents can only be used for storage purposes.

Local attractions
Once you’ve seen yourself sorted at the beach and both the watersports and wellness centres, heaps more is around to do, from exploring further along the Catalonian coast to having city days out at Barcelona and Girona, 45 and 47 kilometres away respectively. A waterpark is within easy driving distance.
If you’re around with the kids (and perhaps even if you aren’t), the Costa Brava dolphin park and zoo of Marineland Catalunya and the chutes and slides of Water World at Lloret de Mar are both good day trip options, as is PortAventura and the other theme parks around Barcelona city.
Elsewhere in Barcelona province, four national parks are around to hike, cycle and wildlife watch at, or you could stick to the coast and dot around the many seaside resorts and small village like the del Mars: have days in Canet, Malgrat, Tossa, Pineda…

Camping El Far cancellation policy
No refunds within 15 days of arrival date.
Up to 31 days before arrival: €20 cancellation fee applies
30-15 days before arrival: 30% total cost will be retained
If you need to cancel or amend your booking, please give as much notice as possible so that someone else has the chance to book. You may wish to buy holiday insurance for cancellations and for your property/injury whilst away.

Payment
Deposit transferable during COVID-19. Camping El Far will debit the balance from your card 40 days before arrival, or if the arrival date is sooner than 40 days then the balance will be taken immediately.
Hired accommodation: €100.00 (£85.99) damage/cleanliness/bracelet deposit is required on arrival and will be refunded on departure after inspection of your unit should no damage/losses be found.

Tax
