From the manager: Estimado Paul, lamento que no pudiera informarnos de sus preguntas, pero debo indicarle que efectivamente, la electricidad funciona perfectamente, tenemos dos baños, uno de verano y otro de invierno donde puede contar con agua caliente y que cuando llueve las maderas se mojan en todas las partes del mundo. Yo hablo ingles pero la persona que le recibió a usted en el momento de su llegada no habla inglés, como usted no habla español y tampoco está obligado a ello. La culoa de que usted ponga un comentario despectivo de mis instalaciones sin haberse quedado aqui ni siquiera no la tiene usted, bastante tiene con arrastrar por donde quiera que va con su cobardia de la que hace uso una vez se va de los sitios a escondidas. Quizas usted lo que necesita es un hotel de 5 estrellas superior y no confundirlo con un lugar en la mointaña, alejado de la ciudad y de ciertos lujos que por el precio de 12 euros la noche, son dificiles de encontrar.

From the manager: Dear guests, It would have been great to hear more about your experience we I asked you how everything was and you told me wonderful place :( I think there is a small confusion about what "old and scrappy stuff" means to you and to us, the essence of our place is to give a second chance to things that otherwise would go to contaminate the planet. The old and scrappy things you mention might be our 70's caravan turned into a full service bathroom, our original table made from an old door, or our bar built all from recycling elements? We are doing our part to harm the planet a little less, very delighted that you enjoyed our views.

Liked: El sitio es ideal para disfrutar de una experiencia única con la naturaleza y su maravilloso paisaje. El personal, encabezado por Jose, me recibieron y trataron de manera exquisita. Te hacen sentir totalmente en familia. La comida y bebidas ofrecidas durante mi estancia superaron mis expectativas de manera muy positiva. La tienda en la que me alojé tenía todas las facilidades necesarias y me sentí muy a gusto. Luego, por la noche, pude disfrutar de tapas y cócteles variados, así como también, del karaoke, donde pude cantar y bailar en un ambiente muy acogedor interactuando con gente de diferentes nacionalidades y culturas. La piscina me vino muy bien, porque con el calor que hacía pude refrescarme siempre que quise. La limpieza se hace a diario y muy eficiente.

Disliked: El acceso al sitio fue complicado, sin embargo, a pesar de que me dieron las instrucciones para llegar por una mejor vía Google maps me envió por un camino imposible lo que ocasionó que no llegara a la hora que había planificado.

Liked: El lugar tiene vistas increíbles. Un verdadero santuario cuando deseas escapar del bullicio de la ciudad. La comida fresca, tradicional y hecha con productos locales, la inigualable atención del staff, las bebidas (especialmente una que hacen con vino blanco fresquito) y las amenidades como la piscina.

Liked: The view and the food! The bathroom is built in a 70s tiny caravan which I find very cool and unique, it was difficult for me as a solo traveler to fix my tent to the ground as it was a bit hard, but Jose was very helpful and brought some tools and helped me set it up. The food was absolutely delicious and at night, fellow travelers gathered by the bar to have a drink, listen to music and know each other, it was fun! I paid extra to use the swimming pool today before my departure, it was refreshing and totally worth it as there is a new heat wave in Spain today. Wish I would have booked more nights! really loved this place

Disliked: The wifi was a bit on and off, but it is understandable with the place being in the middle of nowhere 😅

Liked: The views were idyllic and the pool was nice

Disliked: The accent and decent to the camp is very steep you would struggle to get a motor home or caravan up there, we struggled with a long base T5 campervan. Some of the turns are very sharp and narrow. The Camp itself has a lot of potential but is very basic. There is one toilet and shower for the whole camp which are in a very small 1970s caravan that is teetering on a cliff top with 2 wooden slates covered in plastic as steps which is a little unstable especially if you have mobility issues. I went to use it one evening and it was full of wasps, thank god I have a Porta potti as I have a phobia of wasps. You can not put paper down the toilet which isn't an issue but the bin was overflowing which hadn't been emptied for the 2 days we were there, hence all the wasps and flies that were in there. You have to pay €5 to use the shower, luckily I had bed bound wipes and a solar shower. The ground was also very hard which meant the people who had tents struggled, a couple next to us had to sleep in their car.

For future guests reading this comment here some clarifying facts: 1. We have a warning on our Pitchup page indicating NOT TO FOLLOW GOOGLE MAPS, firsts you need to get to Casabermeja town and then use google mapas as if you do before you will be sent through an impossible road as Suzanne mention, unfortunately the public roads and digital maps are not our responsibility and we can't change that. 2. The bathroom placed inside a 70's caravan is one of our highlight features, is a very ample comfortable bathroom with shower and changing room that many of our guests appreciate, specially because it talks about our essence of recycling and giving old things a second chance. 3. The guests that have mobility issues (which we do and you can find their reviews as well) they have a different bathroom to use. 4. Wasps and flies are part of nature, specially in summer, we shouldn't be held responsible for a wasp phobia, specially when you are traveling and staying in nature, they are everywhere in Spain in summer. 5. You can't put toilet paper down the toilet anywhere in Spain, it is important to be aware of the traveling conditions when you decide to travel to countries that might not be as sophisticated as the ones you come from. Our bathroom is cleaned every day, if there was an overflow of garbage it was probably from the high flow of campers during the season, we apologize for that. 6. The parking rate at our camping is €12 euros for 24 hours, I would like to know where in other parts of the world you get this price and includes a full bathroom, shower, electricity and more. It is very clearly stated before booking that there are extra charges, so there are no surprises and therefore we don't accept this rating as this was indicated beforehand. 7. The type of terrain is mentioned before booking as well, the couple that decided to sleep in their car was because of the heat (there was a heatwave in Spain this year) and it is not right to qualify a place based on your perceptions of the situation of other travellers without knowing the full information. We hope these facts are clear for future guests.

Liked: Espace calme, 700m d'altitude, peu de monde, très beaux paysages. Nous avons apprécié l'amabilité et la sympathie du propriétaire José qui a aidé mon mari pour pouvoir accéder au camping avec la caravane. Piscine pour se rafraîchir La visite des animaux des propriétaires qui effectivement si vous laisser traîner de la nourriture se feront un plaisir mais ils ne nous ont pas dérangés personnellement nous apprécions les animaux. Situé à 30 min de route de Malaga.

Disliked: Piscine en supplément 3€ par personne par jour. Mon fils de 2 ans a du payer 3e aussi.. moyen Électricité trop faible ou alors trop de monde branché au même endroit, le cable etait trop fin, limite si vous pouvez être en autonomie c'est mieux. Accès pentu montagneux.

From the manager: Estimada Alisson G. Gracias por tu comentario, aunque debo por esta vez argumentar con detalle lo que no te gustó, seguro que lo entenderás. El sur de España sufre una sequia por falta de lluvias este año que ha superado todos los registros conocidos en 75 años. Es decir, no tenemos agua. Esta situación nos obliga a comprar dos camiones de agua a la semana, que tienen un coste de 300€, para poder ofrecerle a todos los visitantes un bien tan básico como necesario sin coste alguno, cuando tienes que utilizar el baño o cargar algunas garrafas de agua para tu vehículo. La piscina solamente necesita un aporte de agua diario de mas de 1500 litros. Entiendo que el coste por persona día, te parezca carísimo del todo y sea objeto de una critica que es insuperable para el presupuesto de tu viaje, por lo que no tengo inconveniente alguno, en transferirte el importe del que te quejas si me aportas tu numero de cuenta bancaria. En referencia a la electricidad, ahorrare en consumo eléctrico de este comentario. Gracias por su visita!
