More peaceful times are available too – just pick your spot for time gazing out at Los Jarapalos and Guadalhorce valley.

Amenities include roomy pitches with electric and water hook-ups, as well as ladies' and gents' bright and separate shower blocks with hot water, changing space, mirrors and a large disabled-access space in each.

This is a fabulous camp site with some of the most stunning views in Spain, set in the mountains and only a 40 minute bus or 20 minute drive to either malaga, torremelinos, fuengirola etc, etc. Its also got one of the best bus services to anywhere within a 20 mile radius you could wish for and only a 5 minute walk to the top of the Hill, buses are every 20 minutes and if you care to go to any tobacco shop you can purchase a bus pass and add money to it so the trip to malaga or anywhere else will cost you 45 cents instead of €1.70! The camp site is very well maintained and and has static homes on it and having meet most of the owners I found them very pleasant and helpful. The toilets and showers are to a very good standard with constant hot water and are cleaned on a daily basis. The pitches are well big enough to cater for any size motorhome or caravan and all have EHU. Staff are the most accommodating you will find in Spain and go beyond the call of duty to make your stay rememberable. I used this as a base camp whilst I travelled Spain over 90 days and will definitely use it again. The swimming pool is of a very good size and also maintained on a daily basis. If your thinking of driving past please just call in for a night then take it from there, the views are worth that alone. British owned all speak English, Spanish and French ***** star for me sometimes you can't see the wood for the trees!

Local attractions

To Málaga first, of course… Málaga Monte Parc's local town of Alhaurín de la Torre has regular buses and trains making the 26-kilometre journey to Málaga and its 15 beaches, nightlife, parks and 28 museums… and did you know that Málaga is one of the very oldest cities in all the world? Tis, so peel yourself off the beach and go and see what's what historywise too.

Monte Parc's two local towns are within easy driving distance: Alhaurín de la Torre is five minutes away and Alhaurín el Grande under 10; both are packed with shops, bars and nightclubs along their ancient streets. If you want a beach day a bit closer to home than Málaga, try the big town of Torremolinos, also full of places to eat, drink and be most merry indeed. The site team also recommends the shopping, food, amusement arcades, bowling alley and go-karting of the Plaza Major; from here, get the train to Málaga or straight to Málaga airport.

Away from the glitz, the Alhaurín de la Torre area is well known for its cycling trails, whether you want to hurl down slopes on a mountain bike or pedal along in a more leisurely way taking in the scenery of the Spanish countryside. Several cycle trails start just outside the site and there are bike shops in town to rent you your wheels.
