For a relaxed, eco-friendly and alternative camping experience near Andalusia's Costa de la Luz, make tracks for Global Tribe Campsite, a peaceful nature retreat 10 kilometres from the edge of Doñana national park. Whether you're just looking for somewhere a little bit different to spend some time chilling out or are after yoga classes, dance lessons and some tasty vegetarian meals, this friendly spot has a wide range of accommodation options to help make your trip a success. All guests staying here have access to a shared toilet block and well-maintained showers. There isn't a campers' kitchen, but breakfast, lunch and dinner are available from the on-site kitchen at affordable prices – and it’s all made from 100% organic ingredients. Many of the vegetables are grown right here on the on-site farm, which uses biodynamic methods and is certified organic. There are plenty of relaxation areas around at Global Tribe Campsite, with various sofas, hammocks, dining tables and chill-out zones. There are also leisure facilities including a volleyball court, as well as several great places to just sit back and watch the sunset. The nearest town, Almonte, is five kilometres from base and has a range of bars, places to eat and other facilities, including food shops.

Liked: Nette Menschen, tolles Konzept, wir haben auf der Durchreise Ende November dort drei Tage verbracht und waren vollauf zufrieden und positiv überrascht über das Konzept und das Engagement der Menschen dort. Wir konnten dort spürbar entschleunigen, da wir in die dort herrschende "andere Welt" und Szene passen. Das muss nicht für Jedermann gelten. Schaut euch halt die Website von Global Tribe an.

Liked: We found the site easily without help, as soon as we arrived at the ecovillage we felt relaxed and welcomed. The vibe is needed after a busy week of travelling and sightseeing, enabling us to reset before another 3 weeks on the road. The toilets and showers were all natural and clean at all times. The swimming pool had a shaded relaxing area and was clean. The staff were chilled out and nothing seemed to be an issue. Myself and my daughter took part in a sound bath while we were there which was much needed relaxation before we head on for further traveling to Portugal. The ecovillage is a 20 min drive from a beach where we took part in watersports before returning to the peaceful site to look at the night stars. Perfect place for relaxation. They offer communal meals for a very small price. There is a cute little boutique selling everything you might need for your stay. We will definitely return if we are in the area again.

Disliked: We didn't dislike anything about our stay.

Liked: Good wholesome meal - thankyou - cold beer from camp shop - appreciated help with directions and welcome from Jan... outdoor shower worked well.

Disliked: No signposting off main road - not possible to locate without telephone directions; billed as dog friendly, but camp dogs roamed loose and were not friendly to ours; restricted walking from site unless return up access track; credit cards surcharged at 10%; & it may be just me, but the composting toilets were awkwardly configured and not easy to use (they were clean).

Local attractions

If you're looking to explore the local area, you can hire bikes on site and get pedalling – scenic spots within the Doñana national park are about 10 kilometres away, so there are ample opportunities to visit the pristine wetlands, flocks of flamingos and coastal lagoons that make this part of the Andalusian coast so special. The nearest beach is at Matalascañas, about half an hour away by car. The resort has lots of sandy spots to choose from as it extends for several kilometres along the coast; sea temperatures generally peak at a very comfortable 21-24°C in the summer months. For those who fancy roaming further afield, the site is about an hour's drive from the Portuguese border, introducing the tempting possibility of day trips to the beaches of the Algarve. Also just down at the coast is Huelva (half an hour's drive), where you can visit Cathedral of La Merced and Museum of Huelva or just take a stroll through the pretty streets. This was the place where Christopher Columbus launched his voyage to the New World, and if you take a little trip out of the city (40 minutes from the campsite) you can see replica ships at Muelle de las Carabelas and wander through La Rabida Monastery, where the explorer stayed while planning his travels.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 14 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.

The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
