General
- On a private island covering eight and a half hectares
- In Drawsko Lakeland on the clear blue waters of Lubie Lake
- Fishing, canoeing trips and café-restaurant with terrace
A private island… surely the stuff of wildest fantasies? Not so at Camp Inter Nos, on its own isle in Poland’s Drawsko Lakeland region, surrounded by the clear blue waters of Lubie Lake. And this isn’t just a little rocky outcrop to perch on, either – your new domain sprawls out to a generous eight and a half hectares of lush greenery.
Getting to such a place poses an issue, of course, for all those who can’t walk on water. But that’s easily sorted – folk heading over by car will simply need to time their arrival to coincide with one of the ferries from Błędno (which run every two hours from 8am to 8pm), while those tramping about on foot or biking their way around can use the floating footbridge for comings and goings.
Perks of being moored in the middle of a lake? Well, for starters there’s handy access to boating and windsurfing, plus canoeing trips that regularly run from the island. Pick up a permit from the site team and you can add angling to that list – for pike, perch, zander, bream and whitefish. And come the evening, guests are often treated to a rather spectacular sunset over the water.
For dinner with a view of that sunset there are two options – either stock up on supplies for a barbecue (there’s a food shop on site, with fresh bread delivered regularly), or settle in at the restaurant terrace, where there’s a wide range of food on offer, including a kids’ menu, and plenty of wine with which to toast the colourful skies.

Local attractions
This place is all about the scenery, so set out to see some of it by hiring boats or motorboats on site, or signing up for a canoe trip on the Drawa river – they run for four or up to eight hours, depending on your appetite for paddling.
Off the island, the surrounding area has over 60 kilometres of cycle paths, around the Drawskie Lake District, Lisica Mountain and the edge of Drawskie Landscape Park. A couple of popular picks are the routes around Kańsko Lake (10 minutes’ drive) and Siecino Lake (25 minutes).
For a bit of town time, take off to Zlocieniec (15 minutes’ drive), to visit the art gallery in Warniłęg (half an hour) or to lakeside Czaplinek (half an hour).
