If you like the outdoors, nature and visiting cultural sites like castles and estates, take up your rightful place in the playfully laid out pitches at RCN Vakantiepark Het Grote Bos in Doorn. Based in Het Grote Bos, the pitches at this site are spacious enough that you'll have lots of privacy while still being able to meet other guests. This is a stunning spot for outdoor holidays… You might not think of hills when you think of the Netherlands, famed for its flat lands, but RCN Vakantiepark Het Grote Bos is a scenic and green woodland park set among the forests, moorlands and large estates of the Utrecht Hill Ridge. Tackle the ridge on foot or by bike; the site hires out commuter bikes, mountain bikes and electric bikes so that guests can get out into the sandhill surroundings. You could even pedal along to Utrecht, which is 16 kilometres away from the site along the (mainly flat) Arnhemse Bovenweg. This is also a spectacular site for families, as during high season, there is a heated outdoor pool with spectacular slides and a separate paddling pool with stacks of water toys. Kids can let off steam in the spacious sandy playground with a sandpit, climbing frame and tyre swing. There are loads of outdoor sports on site too, including miniature golf, bowling, tennis and BMXing on the purpose-built track. Football lessons are available, and the site also has a fossil field, nature pond and a survival course. Even fussy guests should be satisfied with the dining options: a restaurant and snack bar are open seven days per week in school holidays. There's a supermarket open during peak season, and freshly baked bread is available every morning.

Liked Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Der Stellplatz hat eine ausreichende Größe mit Stromanschluss, für Frischwasser waren es nur ein paar Meter. Das Sanitärgebäude wurde mehrfach täglich gereinigt. Es war sehr gepflegt. Alles in allem war der komplette Platz sehr ordentlich und liebevoll angelegt.
Der Minigolfplatz ist auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert, so bezaubernd süß gemacht.
Obwohl wir nicht so tolles Wetter hatten, hat uns dies nicht wirklich gestört.
Wir kommen wieder.
Tipp: Wenn ihr E-Shopper leihen möchtet, solltet ihr dies frühzeitig über der QR-Code buchen, dann habt ihr bestimmt mehr Glück als wir.

Disliked Wir hätten es besser gefunden, wenn die Zelt-Urlauber nicht mit den Wohnwagen-Urlaubern gemischt werden.

Die Möglichkeit zum Spülen in der Mitte des Sanitärgebäudes ist nicht so gut durchdacht. Erstens wird es dort durch das Glasdach bei einem sonnigen Tag sehr schnell sehr heiß, zweitens stört es schon sehr, wenn der ein oder andere Geruch vom Wc einem um die Nase weht, während man spült.

Liked Large pitches. Close hookups. Beautiful clean facilities. Loads of space. Nice restaurant. Great bike rides from site. Friendly helpful staff. No cars on pitches. Great showers. Very quiet at night.

Disliked <10 amp hook up didn't like heater plus kettle.
Strange lack of a one way system on entering site confused us. Narrow site roads take some getting used to. No cars on pitches.

Liked The campsite was very nice, clean and well maintained, lots of space and the facilities were clean and pleasant to use.

Disliked The mens section in the bathroom was closed off for our stay which was slightly uncomfortable for my partner.

Liked Het toilet gebouw was super netjes en schoon, 3x een lekker ligbad voor kinderen, kinder wc en veel wc’s.
Het terein is erg groot, wel leuke speeltuinen.

Disliked Op de site stond niet dat het water pretpark dicht was.
Er hadden wat meer kleinere speeltuinen of picknick banken op de velden gemogen.
Er stond constant harde radio aan in het toilet gebouw. Ook sochtends wanneer je kop er niet naar stond of savonds met druk kind werdt je verplicht naar reclames te luisteren wat zorgde voor over prikkeling.

Liked Spacious area for our van in beautiful surroundings. Endless cycling opportunities from the site in all directions. Good selection in site shop with lovely morning bread options.

Disliked Showers could be slightly warmer as not able to be adjusted. Only cold water to wash hands beside toilets.

Liked Nous avons adoré notre séjour. Le site est magnifique, boisé. Tout est parfaitement entretenu et propre. Le personnel très gentil malgré la barrière de langue et a l'écoute pour répondre a nos besoins. Tous souriants. La beauté du site est exceptionnelle. Nous avons adoré nos promenades du soir. Nous espérons revenir l'année prochaine avec notre famille. Nous n'avons pas d'enfant par contre le site est vraiment bien aménagé pour eux. Il y a des airs de jeux un peu partout sur le site, une grande piscine avec jeux aquatiques et un espace avec un parcours du combattant (très original). Nous recommandons sans hésitation
