Time to go camping, how cool is that?! Bare feet in the grass, picnics, sleeping under the stars. Camping It Dreamlân is the perfect base for your next outdoor holiday. Set near the Lauwersmeer National park, in a countryside location, the campsite lies on an ancient Frisian mound (man-made hill) surrounded by wild grass and wild flowers. This family-friendly park has everything to keep the kids entertained: a sandpit, a playground and a trampoline and a firepit hut, great setting for your night-time stories. You can go fishing or borrow the canoe, go crazy on the go-karts, play footie and spend the day playing outdoor (no panic, there’s a washing machine)! There's free wifi, a toilet and shower block with free hot water, and a TV room. Forgot the bikes? You can hire one on site.

Local attractions

Camping It Dreamlân is 5 kilometres from the village of Kollum with a lovely town centre with shops and restaurants. You can visit the Maartens, a beautifull-preserved Gothic church whilst in town. Go fishing in the rivers De Rijd, the Trekvaart and the Zwemmer where you can also hire pedal boats, canoes and rowing boats. Explore the historic town of Dokkum, 13 kilometres away, sit at an outdoor cafe and watch the boats go by in the canals. You can cycle your way to town using the cycle path in Dokkumer Nieuwe Zijlen (1 kilometre from the campsite. Don't miss the farming village of Veenklooster at the border of the Frisian forest, and home to the Fogelsanghstate Estate where you can visit the park and ponds. Spend time on your bike and cycle through the small attractive villages of Ee, Burum, Visvliet, Zoutkamp, Pieterzijl, Anjum and Ezumazijl. The Rondje Lauwersmeer is a 45-kilometre cycling path through a nature reserve and across many beautiful villages. You can also go cycling, hiking and sailing in the Lauwersmeer National Park.
