  • Located in one of the best preserved Dutch green areas
  • A toad puddle home of toads, frogs, salamanders and other creatures

Camping Midden Drenthe is a warm, friendly family-run campsite in the heart of the greenest region and least populated provinces of the Netherlands. In addition to small villages, meadows and fields one can find forests, moors, megaliths, sheep herds, sand dunes and protected stream valleys. Also the Drents-Friese Wold is in the close surroundings of the campsite; there you can walk, cycle or try horse riding. You can roam for hours, enjoy all the scents of nature, the sounds and colors of the beautiful province of Drenthe. The campsite is clearly a great base for outdoors enthusiasts and active guests.

The owners, however, love to welcome families with children: there is a playground, a petting zoo and even a "Paddepoel" (toad puddle) home of toads, frogs, salamanders and other weird creatures. In addition to the classic facilities including showers and toilets there are also baby bath tubs and kids' showers. The facilities are also serviced to cater for disabled guests. In addition, you will find a laundromat and free wifi throughout the property.

Last, but not least, you can go fishing in the dam next to the campsite or try your hand at pétanque.
