Looking for fresh air, countryside and a site that’s nature-oriented? Agricamping San Pio X calls its green space ‘agri-camping’, which simply refers to the fact that you’ll be waking up to the smell of earth and aromatic herbs, sleeping to the sound of crickets and (probably) spending evenings lying on the grass and looking up at the stars. Small, comfortable and calm sums up the atmosphere here. Still, you’re not far away from the action in Padua city centre, which is 11 kilometres away (a 25-minute drive or similar bus ride from the stop a few minutes’ walk away – or a half-hour cycle). Packed with ancient history and restaurants serving traditional dishes like risotto con i rovinassi and goose meat, a visit to the city only adds to the relaxing getaway. Parco Regionale dei Colli Euganei is half an hour’s drive away too and has hills, historic sites, wineries and over 100 thermal baths. Back at the farm, which has been running since 1708, get your hands on artisan and organic food products made from vegetables grown in the field and processed in the lab close to your pitches. There’s a barbecue area with tables and benches accessible in high season, a washing-up sink and wifi (just ask for the password at check-in). That’s not all in the way of facilities either – there are toilets, showers and a washing machine. There's also an outdoor swimming pool, free for guests and open in high season only, on weekdays from 12.40pm to 7pm and on weekends from 10am to 7pm.

Liked Sehr schön angelegter Platz, mit Liebe zum Details, alles vorhanden. Strom und Wasser Anschluss. Pool zum verweilen und abkühlen. Schön ruhig gelegen. Fahrradweg, ca. 9,5 km, durchgängig nach Padua.

Disliked Badekappenpflicht im Pool. Sanitäre Anlage etwas älter und einfach, jedoch sehr sauber.

From the manager: We thank Mrs. Christine Anderegg for her day/night spent at our premises. Referring then to the appreciations and less appreciations she wrote, we’re here confirming that, according to our check-in procedure, we inform the guests about the swimming pool hygienic basic rules also inviting them to take a hot shower before entering water and using swimming-cap when inside the water. On this aim, at swimming-pool area, there are 7 user-friendly showers and 5 WC. All our toilet services perfectly perform the functions for which they were designed and, thanks to our concept “3 in one” (WC- shower - basin on draining floor), our guests can appreciate a cleaning satisfactory level along the whole day. They also represent a positive example of BEST-RATIO amid "Sustainability- Effectiveness-Efficiency". In a few hours everything can get disassembled with a very low impact on the environment. SOSTAINABILITY and People WELLBEING are our pursued PRIORITIES.

Liked Der Platz ist super schön und wir sind so freundlich wie selten empfangen worden. Der Pool wird - wie die Sanitäranlagen - täglich gereinigt und ist auch recht groß. Die Plätze selbst sind recht schattig, was wir sehr zu schätzen wussten. Waschmaschine darf man umsonst nutzen und es wird auf Mülltrennung Wert gelegt, was wir positiv empfanden. Im vorderen Bereich gibt es eine riesige Rasenfläche mit Baumbestand als auch Pergolen, welche Schatten spenden. Wer sich für verschiedene Bambusarten interessiert, hier wird man fündig.

Liked Sehr ruhige Lage im Schatten von Bäumen. Wasser und Strom am Platz. Ökologie wird gelebt. Kleiner, aber sauberer Pool. Sanitärbereich: Super!
9 km auf Radweg ins Zentrum.
Sehr freundliche, kompetente und hilfsbereite Eigentümer.

From the manager: First, we thank Mr. Klazien de Jong for what he positively wrote about us.
Meanwhile, we point out that our Agri-Camp is an “Agricultural Area” aimed to offer the guest a “Wellbeing Environment” based on “green, relax, no annoying noises, slow and sustainable”. Here, nothing is luxury or superfluous, …rather everything is based on the “Sustainability- Effectiveness-Efficiency- BEST-RATIO”.
Then, point by point, we go to comment on the matters he negatively mentioned.
We hadden een plek met weinig uitzicht.
He spent 2 days at our pitch n.15 based 10mts in front of 5.000m2 green simil-labyrinth area with 15 different kinds of bamboo. The bamboo' islands, equipped with benches and tables, allow people to pass through, further than resting inside natural fresh areas.
Het terrein ziet er onverzorgd uit. Hoog gras. Erba alta.
Usually, people don’t know the new bamboo sprouts grow from March mid-till May mid. Respecting natural season cycles, during that period, the usual land maintenance can be done 20% max only ( …avoid damaging the new plants has priority). GRASS CUTTING program: from March beginning till September end, we cut and trim grass on a daily base, well achieving a full cycle within 8 days.

Liked Tolles Gelände, alles was man braucht, nette Gastgeber und freundlicher Empfang. Keine Enge sondern viel Platz für Alles und Jeden. Viele Gemeinschaftseinrichtungfn wie Grills (Feuerholz wird gestellt).

Disliked Uns hat es an Nichts gefehlt!

Liked Remote location with lovely views, pitches were large and level. Facilities were generally ok but could do with refresh.

Disliked Washing Machine was only 6kg so insufficient for washing bedding etc. Tumble Dryer didn’t get hot so I guess it was broken.

First up on your itinerary might be Padua (25 minutes’ drive), where your time can be spent wandering the arcades of the Old Town or strolling down to squares such as medieval Ragione Palace. Browse museums such as the Musei Civici Eremitani, gaze at the artwork by painter Giotto di Bondone in the Scrovegni Chapel or tick off other historical sites such as The Basilica of St. Anthony or Abbazia di Santa Giustina. It's an hour on foot to get from the farm to Salboro (or 10 minutes’ drive), where there’s a medieval church. Verona (an hour and 20 minutes), the so-called ‘city of love’ due to its ties with Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Lake Garda (two hours and 20 minutes) and the Gardaland Resort or Gardaland SEA LIFE Aquarium (both an hour and a half) all make other fine day trips.
