  • Peaceful mountain site four kilometres from Antey-Saint-André
  • Half an hour from Valtourneche ski resort
  • Restaurant, bar, spotless amenities, pool, Jacuzzi and sauna
Might you be on the path to seek serenity on your hols? Have it sorted with zero fuss at the peaceful high-up locale of DalaiLama Village in the Aosta Valley, toget Zenlike on the sun terrace or among the classy facilities, all in a tiptop mountain setting. Although it's not very Zenlike to induce envy in others, you may possibly be tempted to add a boastful post on your social media from this spectacular site – perhaps that you've just been thinking your gentle thoughts in a Jacuzzi, among the Italian Alps? This bubbly excellence is part of the village wellness centre, where there's also an indoor pool, kids' pool and infrared sauna to keep everyone serenely mellow. The cosy and comely bar is definitely worth a snapshot (or an uploaded several, as the wifi on site is free), and you may also want to share pretty pics of your Italian Alps supper, from the handsome restaurant's menu of local dishes and takeaway. You may even – odd but recommended – yearn to snap a photo or two of the site's spotless amenities: you'll see why when you get there and observe their gleaming surroundings. DalaiLama Village is at 1500 metres altitude, overlooking the mountains and the village of Antey-Saint-André, four kilometres away. The skiing around the valley is first-rate, but do be sure to spend significant time on site in summer too, as there's an excellent programme of activities and entertainment for all ages, including a kids' club, dance classes, karaoke, aqua gym classes and guided nature walks.

Local attractions

DalaiLama Village is such a beaut site in spectacular surrounds that much time should be spent around its grounds and in its wellness area, pool, bar and restaurant. When you're ready to get out into this part of the Italian Alps, you can take your pick from outdoor adventuring like rafting or skiing, ambling around the archaeological sites and old villages of the Aosta Valley, and family days out adventuring in the local area. Getting active first, a horse riding centre is within six kilometres, or you could launch yourself into a raft from Antey-Saint-André, also within six kilometres. The ski runs of Valtournenche, covering 360 kilometres of runs, are within half an hour's drive. For a family day out, make for La Borna dou Djouas adventure park, within 15 minutes' drive at Antey-Saint-Andrè. Gamba and Fenis castles, 20 and 35 minutes away respectively, should also interest small sorts of a historic bent (there are some), as should the sights of Aosta Old Town, 50 minutes away.
