Well-lit paths around the pitches

General

  • Peaceful site an easy kilometre from Lake Garda
  • Huge range of watersports and land-based activities nearby
  • Adults' pool with diving board and kids' play pool next door

Smashing Garda scenes and outdoor activity options of land and water await at peaceful Campeggio Trevisago, on the outskirts of the village of Moniga del Garda, close to the main road along the south-western shore of Lake Garda.

Splashing and swimming are sorted on site by its two well-maintained pools – a big one with a diving board for the grownups and a smaller one next door with a spongy floor for the littlies. There's also a public lake beach around a kilometre from base, for paddles (au naturel should you fancy) as well as lots of watery pursuits such as boating, fishing, waterskiing, sailing and scuba diving.

Out of the pool, there's a sandbox and swing set for kids, surrounded by a roomy and well-shaded grassy area. The team runs events and activities in high season such as dance evenings, karaoke nights, a kids’ club, bingo football, volleyball matches and daily excursions... And if you’re fond of showcasing your fancy footwork, you’ll be very chuffed to hear that a night bus is on hand to ferry you from the site to the local disco.

If you’re planning on going self-catered, two budget supermarkets lie handily close by; however, if you’d rather have someone else cook for you, then the on-site restaurant and bar serves acclaimed pizzas.

Please note

The restaurant is open between 01/04 and 30/09.

The outdoor swimming pool is open between 20/04 and 20/09 (subject to weather conditions).

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Your dog must be tattooed or microchipped.

The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.

Showers are supplied via a smart meter with a prepaid card, this is charged at €0.05 per 20 seconds. A €10 deposit is required for the card which is returned along with any unused credit on departure.

A local city tax of €0.40 (€0.70 in July and August) per person over the age of 13 per night (up to 21 nights) is not included and must be paid on arrival.

Air conditioning is metered on-site at €0.60 per hour and must be paid at check-out.

Me and my friend had a wonderful time here. The staff were so friendly and the campsite was conveniently located near the town. The campsite owner was absolutely lovely and offered to upgrade us from a tent to a cabin when we were camping in thunderstorms and torrential downpour. Could not be more grateful for that at the time. This is also a great campsite if you plan to visit other towns around the west side of the lake. We could easily get buses and boats to other towns for day trips which were relatively inexpensive. Definitely recommend staying here if you plan to visit Lake Garda.

Local attractions

The lake provides many a tiptop outdoor activity both in and out of the water, from boat trips, fishing, sailing and scuba diving to canyoning, climbing, mountain biking, horse riding and paragliding.

Visit the scuba diving centre in Manerba or the watersports centre in Bardolino for waterskiing, wakeboarding and paddleboarding, or take a trip to the lake’s unofficial capital Desenzano for swimming pools, riding schools and tennis courts. Alto Garda Bresciano Park also has several good walking and mountain biking trails to explore.

As well as all the energetic stuff you can get involved in over at Desenzano, excellent eateries, bars and nightlife options are all within a handy 10 kilometres of Trevisago. Several villages, beaches and other top attractions around the lake are within easy reach too, and the cities of Brescia and Verona are both well within an hour’s drive.

To keep the kids' appetite for excitement well and truly sated, take them to the neighbouring theme and family parks of Gardaland and CanevaWorld Waterpark Resort, a scenic 40-minute drive from base.
