Beach day on a gorgeous stretch of sand, then back to base for a quick refresh before your sundowners on site? It’s safe to say that Camping Ali Baba has those chilled-out family days down to a tee. Look beyond the olive groves that form the immediate surrounds of this lovely Liguria hillside stay and you’ll note the big blue twinkling away not too far in the distance (see pics for evidence). If you want a closer look, it’s a five-minute drive to central Ceriale (or a half-hour walk if you’re feeling guilty about that last slice of pizza) for lazy beach times and equally lazy times spent lingering over a long lunch in one of the restaurants. Active types anxiously tapping a foot at the idea of so much sitting still? Fear not – you’re well catered for here too: a four-kilometre trail starts five minutes away for folks who fancy a jog or walk. A waterpark and tennis club are within a five-minute drive, and there are plenty of watersports in town, including scuba diving and windsurfing. However you seek to spend your days, back on site there’s a swimming pool with plenty of space on the sun terrace for (yet more) relaxing while the bambini frolic in the paddling pool or playground, and a pétanque court for settling family competitions.

Liked: Il campeggio è molto ben tenuto, curato, il personale è gentile, i bagni sono puliti ed il campeggio è dotato di tutto il necessario. Tornerò volentieri!

Disliked: Unica pecca( piccola): on piscina si entra solo con la cuffia e non avendolo letto da nessuna parte sul sito non ho potuto fare il bagno.

Liked: The management team were great. The pool is superb, the grass site with power and water handy was excellent. Great camp, good showers, was hot 30+ so cold was good too! HW showers were alone Euro for a min fixed temp. Charges were reasonable and good 5G from WINDTRE made comms easy. Would definitely stay again. Tks guys. Geoff and Lois Lawes, New Zealand

Disliked: Mest horrible oplevelse jeg har haft på en ferie. Hvis du ikke er italiener så vælg ikke dette sted, hvis du ikke er over 60 år så vælg ikke dette sted, hvis du har børn så vælg ikke dette sted. Jeg har aldrig følt mig så uvelkommen et sted, personalet var nærmest træt af at have os dumme turister på besøg fra første minut. Personalet taler ikke andet en italiensk ( kun i receptionen som kun er der få timer om dagen) Vi have ikke forstået et skilt om at man ikke må komme ud med sin bil mellem kl 13 og 15 hvor der var stille tid… jeg vil gerne ned i byen med min søn for at mødes med nogle venner men vi måtte ikke komme ud… de kunne bare trykke på en knap så var det løst men mande begynde at råbe af os og sige fuck you og at vi var nogle dyr fordi vi ikke forstod deres skilt og Italienske traditioner. Min søn sad i bilen sammen med mig! Vi pakkede vores ting og smuttede med det samme, vi skulle bare væk med det samme kl 15:00. Det var som at være lukket ind på et fængsel på sin ferie. Jeg fraråder alle at tage til dette sted og støtte stedet. Lige nu er på på et fantastisk camping spot i Ispra… her behandler de os som gæster ser er velkommen.

Liked: Place is gorgeous!! People are nice and friendly. Pool is super clean and with good view.

Disliked: 🐜 ants on our place. Got there inside our trailer and until now can not get them out. They are small and getting from each small hole from the trailer now. When you go there- take something to protect trailer.

Local attractions

It’s perfectly possible, of course, to combine a bit of beach and a bit of activity – Ceriale’s a super spot for that, as its seafront has windsurf kit for hire and several dive centres that can take you out for scuba and snorkelling trips. If you prefer pool action, scoot along to Le Caravelle waterpark (five minutes’ drive) to zoom down the waterslides and splash in the wave pool. Leaving Ceriale behind, day trip options might include a tour of the Toirano caves (15 minutes’ drive) or a meander around the medieval village of Zuccarello (20 minutes) and its ancient castle. Porto di Andora (half an hour) is the place to board boat trips in search of whales in the waters of the surrounding cetacean sanctuary. If you’re unlucky with the sea-creature sightings, plot a course instead for Genoa (an hour and 15 minutes), where there’s a huge aquarium hosting more than 12,000 water beasties. The city’s also home to a fab collection of museums and a pretty historic centre that’s well worth a wander.

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Changes cannot be made once you have booked.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs are not allowed if you are staying in the accommodation units.
Dogs are prohibited from main facilities and amenities.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.

Extras

A charge of €1.00 (£0.87) applies for the use of the shower.
Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General

Hired accommodation

Your unit must be left clean and tidy; a fine of €40.00 (£34.66) will be charged for unclean units upon departure.

You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Pool

Only park guests are authorised to use the pool.
Some facilities require the wearing of swim caps.
Swimsuits are obligatory and swimming shorts or Bermuda shorts are not permitted.
The outdoor swimming pool is open between 27/05 and 03/09 (subject to weather conditions).

Reception

Reception is open from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. between 01/09 and 30/06.
