Famed spas are within simple distance of Camping Arizona tucked among green hills in northern Italy's Parma province – not a surprise at all, you may think, given that the site is a few kilometres from the illustrious spa town of Salsomaggiore Terme. A drive of under 10 minutes from Camping Arizona – or a wander of about 45 minutes should you be feeling sprightly – will land your serenity-seeking self at Emilia Romagna's Salsomaggiore Terme, a town acclaimed throughout Europe and beyond for its thermal salt waters. Even closer to home a few minutes' drive away are the Respighi spas of Tabiano Bagni, also famed, also salty and also essential to add to your holiday itinerary. As befits such a spa-filled destination, Camping Arizona is a peaceful place: set among 13 hectares of greenery with views towards the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. It's well away from noisy and crowded tourist centres, but is easily accessible by car from the A1, or from Parma airport half an hour's drive away. There's a top range of leisure facilities for all ages for days on site, including a waterpark with two big pools, a paddling pool, and waterslides to slip down. There are also two hydromassage pools, sun loungers for the topping up of one's tan, and other land-based leisurely pursuits including beach football, volleyball and a playground. Camping Arizona also has a restaurant-pizzeria serving Parmesan and regional Italian dishes; a well-stocked shop with local and international food, and a bar open all day for breakfasts, snacks, cocktails and sports on the big screen TV.

The closest spas are those of Respighi at Tabiano Bagni, among rich salt waters just over a kilometre from the site. About four kilometres away are the baths and town of Salsomaggiore Terme, where the salt level in these famed waters is three times denser than in the Dead Sea. Further afield, the pools and spa treatments of Terme di Monticelli are within 45 minutes' drive. For town and city days, Camping Arizona is 15 minutes' drive from Fidenza, where adventurers can investigate the region further via the Milano to Bologna train line. If you'd like to see both cities, Bologna is about an hour and 10 minutes from Fidenza and Milan an hour and 20. Province capital Parma is within 40 minutes' drive.
