Let the friendly staff at Chieti's Camping Village Santo Stefano assist: they take pride in helping guests out and giving them a warm Italian welcome. The camping area at Santo Stefano should suit all sorts, as it's on flat grassy ground and has different types of pitches for guests to pick from, all delimited and well shaded by poplars and ash trees. Help with loading/unloading is available from the amiable team. Camping Village Santo Stefano has an outdoor pool, a bar, a restaurant/café and bike hire; its amenities include laundry service and two public loo and shower blocks with hot water. Water and electricity costs, car parking space, use of the pool and the activities laid on by the entertainment team are all included in the pitch price. We think this all sounds jolly splendid, but we've kept the best bit for last: Camping Village Santo Stefano has its own private beach for guests: hire a beach umbrella or bring your own, and settle down under the Italian sun to survey the sea and sand. Spiffing.

Nature spotting? We think so. The province of Chieti, surrounding Camping Village Santo Stefano, is Abruzzo's most eastern and is filled with day tripping opps, such as to its coastline and towns, it capital Chieti, its several museums and its many old cathedrals and churches. Also have some Abruzzo hiking, accompanied by mules as per the region's medieval tradition, and track down some of the area's trad food, like arrosticini (kebabs), centerbe (herb liquor), cheese, and parrozzo (traditional cake of the region).
