Put yourself on the path for a pretty Peloponnese break at Klein Karoo Rest Camp. Completely off-grid and eco-friendly, run on only clean renewable solar energy, this is a grand spot for folk with green credentials in mind. Those who are planning for beach days in Porto Cheli will be well sorted too, as the resort’s fishing boats, yachts and sandy beaches are just a five-minute drive away. So, what might you get up to? From Porto Cheli, you might catch a boat across the big blue to Spetses for some snorkelling, or head to Ververouda (10 minutes) lake, a hot spot for waterskiing. However, if you just can’t wait for a dip in the salty sea, there’s a gorgeous beach half an hour’s walk from Klein Karoo Rest Camp (or you could just settle down to admire the sea views on site…). Cleanliness, comfort and style’s the combination you get here – plus plenty of space, of course. And the facilities? Just as handy. There’s grey and black water disposal available, along with fresh water refill and an amenities room with an automatic washing machine. Secure electronic access is available for self-check-ins too (that’s why only online bookings are accepted, and no walk-ins). Practicalities sorted and nearest beach already located, those who fancy a little pampering of another kind can take the two-minute walk to the hotel next door, where there’s a restaurant, a pool and a private beach.

Disliked: A mio parere andrebbe curato tutto meglio le zone "comuni" un po' di cura un po' di erba, delimitati magari con qualcosa di carino invece è tutto trascurato; inoltre non succede ma se qualcuno ha bisogno di aiuto o soccorso sei completamente solo..di lusso come prezzo

You’ve struck gold at this gorgeous site, since Ermioni (20 minutes’ drive) is spread across the Peloponnese slopes above a traditional port with a promenade lined with classic eateries serving chicken gyro, Greek salad and all that good stuff. Divers can go down under on organised excursions to the Saronic Gulf too. Into your folklore and history too? Happy days, because the Historical and Folklore Museum of Hermione (20 minutes) has historic and farming collections, period outfits and other local artefacts. If you’re more interested in taking in a few natural beauty spots, that’s more than okay too. Franchthi Cave (20 minutes) has been inhabited on and off since 40,000 BCE. Οι Δολίνες Σπηλιές Των Διδύμων (25 minutes) is pretty sweet too, with two craters or sinkholes formed by water from the surrounding mountain, and churches in the rocks.
